I don't usually post WIPs in the Collegium, but I need feedback. Not just "It's awesome". Tell me something that's wrong with this. I always thought the face looked off but can't place it.

The shading is done very nicely. However, focusing on the face, his expression looks off, if that makes sense. It looks like he may have a happy expression (sorry if that wasn't intentional, just how it looks to me), had the corner (correct term?) of his mouth been turned up (sorry if I'm not making sense) but it's turned kind of down-ish (I know, no sense at all) and his expression looks hard to place (maybe that's intentional, if you can understand my sentence) and a bit off. Also, I know it's a WIP, but some of the trees in the background look unfinished, with what appears to be not much shading.

I suck at drawing side view. Bad sketch = bad painting And yea, the trees are unfinished. It's meant to look blurry because it's far away, but I fail at that too
