A scream filled the living room. It was so loud, Tina yelled back, "Will you shut it?" The screaming stopped, and all looked peaceful for a while, yet an obnoxious sound from the TV woke her up from her daydream. "Sam, can you put it quieter?"

Her brother shook his head and only put it louder, aggravating Tina so much she thought up a plan to make her brother listen to her. Halloween was coming near, so a scary story about little bad brothers was applicable. However, she had used a scary story last year already. True, her brother wasn't that smart, but still... even Tina had had nightmares about the story.

"Oh right, big sis. I'm going out tonight," he said without his eyes leaving the TV screen.
"Out?" Tina repeated, losing her thoughts as she imagined her brother doing all kind of party stuff. No way, I'm letting him go out, she thought.  "Yeah, with the gang. We're going trick-or-treating. I'll be dressing up as a ghost."
Tina snickered at her silly thoughts she had had. "It's not Halloween, though," she stated and stared at the back of her brother. All of a sudden, the TV's volume seemed to have gone down, making the silence awkward.

Sam shifted his legs and whispered, "I know."
