I was craving some traditional art recently. I haven't touched my Copics in forever.

So. A LOL-cover for Karasushitsuji, my Aveyond-Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji crossover. Redundancy is redundant, since Sebastian is often alluded as a "raven" and I might as well just call it Kuroshitsuji, but heck, crossover is crossover. I HAVE to alter the title somehow, LOL. Maybe I should've have it read as "Oshitsuji" or "Ushitsuji" [the kanji for "raven" can be read as "Karasu", "U", or "O"], but I wanted to preserve the "kuro" sound so I picked "karasu". Blerb.

Anyways. Art technicalities. Mel is inked with Sumi-e ink using dip-pens (the Maru pen, if oyu want to be specific) and coloured in Copics. Gyendal and the background are done in watercolours and not inked. Unless you count pencil sketch/lines as inking. Layout, colour tweaking, and other extra editing in Photoshop.

I was sorely tempted to be even more of a troll and fake Yana Toboso's style, but me no likes and the idea goes out the window. Toboso's style is simple enough to fake, and I think i can manage to copy it if I try hard enough, but it's not worth it. Plus, Pretty-Mel and OMGSEXY-Gyendal would ruin the trollage There's still Undertaker Agas if you want pretty.

ETA: That DOES IT. I don't care I'm actually calling attention to it by addressing this, but please. DO NOT comment on the shape of Mel's nose. That's how I want my Mel to look, so deal with it. I'm really tired of getting the "Mel's nose is funny/weird" comment.  ESPECIALLY if that is the ONLY thing in the comments. Come on, there's a lot of other things going on in the pictures too. If you must comment about the nose, please at least say something else too. Why be preoccupied with the nose when there's a lot of other things to talk about?
