Subject: Re: Virus software going crazy? Report false positives here! :) by RhenMcCree on 2009/12/3 17:39:03 I have Norton 360 and I was having an issue playing Gates of Night and Lord of Twilight. My son went to play these games on November 21 I believe. He told me that they wern't there. I emailed Shaz and I thought it was resolved or would be resolved shortly as I added it to the allow list, but it kept not working. I could install the files, but not play the games while norton was enabled. I had to disable it to install and play cause if I installed them while norton was enabled I couldn't play the games at all though the computer would say that they were installed. Today though I emailed Shaz again cause still wasn't working and she helped me add the right files to the allow list. The issue has been resolved, but thought I'd post the issue here so it can be worked through and Norton can be notified that these are not viruses. I never had this happen before so I was really surprised when it did. The only logic I can come up with is that well my Norton the definitions got behind and then I finally was able to do a live updates successfully and then after I did it started flagging the games. It's fine now, but it was very annoying to have this go on. By the way Norton was calling Lord of Twilight and Gates of Night a Trojan Horse. Thanks |
