Subject: Re: Ren'Py by daeva_agas on 2012/6/2 20:15:34 Okay, sorry about the confusion. Ren'py is constantly upgraded so the tutorials is a mash of tuts for the old version AND the new version. If you read the newbie tutorial in the first link, the person explains to you that you have to "declare" the characters. This is the code to declare a character: This is the code to declare side images: The label "who_color='c8ffc8'" is the code to change the colour of the name. That gibberish there is the colour ID. Example: 0000CC makes your text blue like this. You'll have to look up the corresponding colour codes online. Anyone you don't want to have side images will be declared in a code similar to "X/Random Person". The main character will be declared like Eileen. Now, in renpy when you make dialogue you type it like this: e "Hello, world." The "e" is the declared "Eileen", and writing the dialogue as such will give you a picture of Eileen, Eileen's name, and the text. If you write it like this: "I am a text" There will be no picture or name box. Just narration. |
