Re: The Television Club

I'm still watching! I'm gradually becoming less interested, however. I feel like the writers don't know where they're going with the show, and I don't know if I quite want to stick around to find out. Not enough happens each episode -- the revelations are few and far between, and the performances are inconsistent. At times I'm extremely impressed, but other times I'm just bored.

I didn't actually like "Desperate Souls" very much. I liked that it added some to Rumpelstiltskin, but it had another horrible child actor and it seemed to drag a little bit. Also, I like Mr. Gold in Storybrooke much better than his fairytale counterpart. Rumpel just seems so over the top. Mr. Gold has nuance and gravitas, and is a far more interesting villain/anti-villain/anti-hero.

Did anyone watch Smash the other night? I'm still trying to sort out my feelings about it. I was bored, but I think that might be because I had seen the trailer which included every important scene from this first episode. I hope that the next episode will be more interesting.
