I know that each of the heroes' characters have to be defined, and the easiest to do so is to dedicate an entire movie on the individual, so that when the team assemble, the producer don't have to re-enact character development for each of the heroes all over again... But then again, I never watch Ironman, Thor, or Hulk before watching The Avengers, and I still get a gist of their background and characteristics, so it's actually not necessary to make all of the 'character movies' just to introduce the people in the 'team movie'. |
