I don't believe in punishment except for prevention. I would not spank a child unless I believed that it would keep them from doing it again. If someone murdered my mom I would want them to be locked up so that the same would happen to no one else, not for revenge or whatever. My policy is fix and forgive. If someone needs to die for the better of the public, then perhaps they should. But not for any other reason. |
