Subject: Re: Gay Marriage? by serendipity on 2008/7/6 14:14:41 the issue of marriage is really the issue...what defines a marriage?...is it a licensed commitment between two people?...that is my view...however, not all parts of the world are prepared for it...i live just outside of a big city...in the city there is an active gay/lesbian community...out here things walk the line between being conservative and open-minded... what has to be addressed is the definition of marriage so that it addresses "persons" rather than a man/woman relationship... things are changing...the debate no longer stands solely with adults...children are aware of these changes and are having to defend themselves when confronted by others who are not so understanding... it is only a matter of time before things shift in favor of it completely...people cannot swim against the tide of change for long... s |
