It's almost as if they don't really hear it any more - sort of a background kind of thing. It gets to be a very bad habit. I remember when I first went to college, my roommate used swear words much more than I was used to and when I came home for winter break - I was out to dinner with my parents. I accidentally tipped over my water glass and I was swearing without even thinking about it. As soon as I heard myself doing this - I said to myself I'm never doing that again! Swearing is very disrespectful and rude (not to mention uninventive), so I'm happy to come to a site without that sort of culture. |
