The telephone rang in Leo, Duane's boss in the company.

"Hello? May I help you?"

"Is this boss Leo?"

"The one and only. May I help you, Ma'am?"

"My son, Duane cannot go to work today. He is here in the hospital."

"Oh dear...it is okay. We'll be dropping by there later...is there any help that we can offer you?"

"Well, we need a blood donor-"

Leo puts down the phone. He went for the Public Address system and spoke.

"Elsa, please come into my office."

A young woman, by the name of Elsa came into the office. She is Leo's secretary.

"May I help you, sir?"

"Can you find someone whose blood type is O"?"

"Yes sir. I will find one immediately."

Elsa went out of the room and suddenly, a woman in business attire went in.

"Good morning, sir."

"Why yes! You are the new employee Nensha speaks of?"

"Yes. Yes I am."

"Well then, I am Mr. Leo Sebastian Ross. Call me Leo, for short. I am the manager of this part of the firm."

"And I am Sandra Cheeks, sir. You can call me Sandy. I prefer myself being called that way."

"Okay. Welcome here, Sandy! Your work place is at the cubical next to the Meeting room."

"Thank you sir."

"Oh, Sandy....wait."

"Yes, sir?"

"What is your blood type?"

"Its O",sir. Why do you ask?"

Leo stood up suddenly.

"I need you to do me a favor. Can you donate some blood to the blood bank?"

"Why? If it is to help someone, then I would go for it."

"Well then, come with us to the hospital later."

Sandy took her things and walked out towards her cubicle. Leo approached the PA System again.

"Elsa, we found one already. Come back into my office and there is something we need to do."

A long beeping sound was heard by Duane's mom once again. She at once, pressed the button and the doctor barged into the room.

"He is critical again! Let us bring him to the O.R!"

He was carried out of the room. His mom, on the other hand knelt down on the floor and starts shaking. A tear came down from her eyes.

"Lord, please let Duane live....he is the only one left in my life. I wish to see him grow and fulfill his dreams. If he is to die, let me die as well!"
