Fulgur the Thundersword


Plot:

Orion, a traitor to the great kingdom of Imir, has stolen Nox and Lux--the Nightsword and the Daysword--two of the Elementum Gladii, the eight swords that retain the balance of nature. Nox and Lux rule over darkness and light, and can only be defeated by all the other six swords working together. But there is only one person who can collect the six swords: Jaylen Ayers, the young prince of Imir.

The swords are: Fulgur (Lightning), Ventus (Wind), Aqua (Water), Glacies (Ice), Ignis (Fire), and Terra (Earth). Fulgur must be found first, in the treacherous Land of Changing Weather.

Heroes:
Name: Jaylen Ayers

Age: 21
Species: Human
Backstory: Jaylen Ayers is the Crown Prince of Imir, and the only son of King Monar XIV. He has been training in combat all his life. If he can collect the swords and defeat Orion, he will prove himself worthy to eventually rule Imir.
Skills: Jaylen is one of the best swordsmen in Imir and is relatively strong.
Weapon of Choice: Sword

Name: Rexis Relicum Dominus III (AKA Rex)
Age: 19
Species: Human
Backstory: Rex is Jaylen's cousin and friend, and a noble of Imir. He is leaving Imir City to visit family when he sees Jaylen beginning his quest. Rex and his pet tiger Basileus follow Jaylen.
Skills: Rexis is skilled with a bow and is decent at animal magic.
Weapon of Choice: Bow, crossbow, atlatl

Name: Basileus (AKA Basil)
Age: 6 (26 in human years)
Species: Tiger
Backstory: Basil is Rex's pet tiger, and has been for years.
Skills: Basil and Rex can communicate telepathically and see through each other's eyes.
Weapon of Choice: Claws, fangs

Name: June Ankhi
Age: 23
Species: Human
Backstory: June has been living in the Nor'non Forest since she ran away from home as a little girl. It is unknown where exactly that home was, because she never talks about it.
Skills: June is skilled with a dagger, and has taught herself some fire magic to avoid freezing in winter.
Weapon of Choice: Dagger

Name: Oliver Montague
Age: 108 human years, 27 elven years
Species: Elf
Backstory: Oliver is an elf mage who has lived in Salaia, the kingdom of the elves, all his life. He is very adventurous and curious. He joins the party entirely because he thinks the journey will be fun.
Skills: Oliver is a very skilled Magicker. Like most elves, he has good hearing due to his large ears.
Weapon of Choice: Staff

Villains:
Name: Orion
Age: Over 300 years old (seems to be about 30-40)
Species: Human (seemingly)
Backstory: Orion was once the advisor of King Monar IV. When Monar V took over the kingdom, he discovered that Orion had been mesmerizing Monar IV for control of the city. Orion was disgraced, poor, and bitter. He soon swore revenge upon Imir and the world. It is unknown how he survived for centuries, and how he gained the power to defeat the guardians of Nox and Lux.

Rex and Basil actually join the party as only one member.

The Six Swords series*
Fulgur the Thundersword is the first in a six-game series called The Six Swords. The games are:
Fulgur the Thundersword
Ventus the Windsword
Aqua the Watersword
Glacies the Coldsword
Ignis the Flamesword
Terra the Stonesword
Each game is based around Jaylen's search for the title sword. Party members are gained and lost throughout the series, though some will remain constant.

Classic "search for items" story, but decent. A series of six games is pretty ambitious, so good luck for that. And I hope whatever elaboration you have for the villain's backstory is more in-depth than "Boohoo I are butthurt because I is not made advisor again!" That sounds kinda shallow and not worth setting loose UBER POWERFUL SWORDS EVER to the world.

By the way, I would HIGHLY suggest you change "Glacies the Coldsword" and "Terra the Plantsword". Coldsword and Plantsword sounds dumb. Frostsword and Earthsword would sound much better.
