Youtube is not playing on my Firefox. It doesn't play, and when I click the play button I get "error occured, please try again later". restarted computer, restarted Firefox. Nothing works. However, it still works on other browsers like Chrome or Opera.

Wow, that is odd. Did you try dumping your cache and starting over with no cookies?

go to tools>clear private data and then select from the list, then click ok
Places you normally go which you don't ususally have to sign in on will need to have passwords signed in again.

@D_A: That is why I always use either Private Browsing when surfing the net. Those cookies and datas cause unnecessary lags. Or if I forgot to switch to private mode, I'd always delete all browsing history. Including the ones from the search toolbars.

I suspect it has something to do with all these random stuff that installed itself to my browser. I lost a file so I installed some file-recovery programs. Some of them for some reason ended up installing weird toolbars/apps/add-ons to Firefox.

You can always choose not to install the toolbars. There are the installing packs that have petty gadgets during the setup. Just uncheck things you don't want.

@shadowshed -I always opt out of the add-on's too, if they offer you the opportunity. If they force you to take their add-ons, I immediately go into my Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall and delete everything they have stuck me with. The date the new toolbars and programs will have been installed is on the right hand side, and will be the same date.

So... for some reason every time I press Ctrl+Shift+S, it brings up System Information. No matter what program I'm on - Word, Photoshop, or whatever else - I could not use Ctrl+Shift+S to bring up the "Save As" menu. I have to click File-Save As manually. The File tab still list Ctrl+Shift+S as the shortcut for Save As, though. Any idea what may be causing this?

d_a - have you been using a remote desktop and now you are back to regular set-up? for a remote desktop I think you need a 3 keystroke entry to enter your command.
control s should work on a regular version of Word

I haven't done anything to my computer. One day, out of the blue, this just happens.
But in other programs, like Photoshop, I'd need the ctrl shift s, and having to reach for File-Save as is tedious ![]()

That would just save the document, not open the Save As window. I sometimes need to Save As the document as another format.

Sometimes you can hit the F12 key and the 'save as' menu will come up. This is old stuff, so you probably know it.

Okay d_a I found this on a website:
----------- Reposted from http://www.kirupa.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-249650.html by user forgedreality: YAY! Someone who has the same exact problem as myself! I discovered this some time ago, after it had been working fine, then all of a sudden stopped. I'm still not sure exactly what causes it, but I'm starting to think it's a Windows issue. Maybe it relates to some update or something. It is not related to having a pirated version or having Trillian installed and causing a hotkey conflict. I have Trillian, and it's not the problem, I'm certain. ctrl+shift+i doesn't work in Windows anymore for anything. To see what I mean, just try creating a shortcut on your desktop to any random program, and then in that shortcut's properties, under "Shortcut key," try pressing ctrl+shift+i. You'll find it does not work, if you're having this problem under Photoshop. Although, just about anything else with the ctrl+shift combination does work just fine. Sometimes, if you have something else in that box, hitting ctrl+shift+i will cause it to unassign the hotkey. Curious no? Having demonstrated this, now I'll show you a workaround. If you go into your Photoshop keyboard shortcuts (edit->keyboard shortcuts), and under the "shortcuts for" dropdown box, select 'Application menus.' Twirl open the 'Selection' item, and find the hotkey for 'inverse.' You probably cannot set this to ctrl+shift+i, just as before, without hitting the default button on the right. Anything else works, but it still doesn't like that combo. However, I have found that simply by pressing and holding the Windows key first, and then, while still depressing this key, pressing the other three (ctrl+shift+i) will allow you to fill this hotkey in just as you should have normally been able to do. I have no idea why this works, but as I said before, I think it has to do with the operating system itself somehow, not a conflict, or I don't think it would work at all. This workaround also works for the shortcut hotkey example I gave above. Now, once you have it filled in, you can confirm it. Now, in order to invert selections, you'll still have to hold down the windows key before pressing the rest of the keys, but it works to invert selections, and it's not that much of a discomfort on a regular keyboard (however, most laptop keyboards and those ****ing annoying Microsoft "comfort" keyboards totally place the windows key, as well as others, in completely stupid places, making this really hard to do.) Anyway, hopefully with this new bit of information (which I just figured out today), maybe someone else can chime in with a true fix. I have looked in the control panel and such, but I don't really see any options that might make a difference. Although, I haven't tried the registry fix to disable the windows key yet, which could be interfering with some key combos I suppose. ------ Good Luck my friend!
