Lol, it's definitely not french. Any french words in Missouri get butchered pretty badly. There's quite a few towns that have french names and you'd probably be surprised by how they are pronounced.

@Kirikat - I like your user name it's really cute and goes well with your friendly avatar. Btw - Kinnison told me earlier in this thread that you can ask the admins to change your user name if you want to. I was thinking of changing mine but I kind of like it now.

@Mizzou--know what you mean about butchered french names, e.g., Calais in Vermont is pronounced "callous".

I guess I'm not too surprised that people thought it was French. Missouri would be a french spelling of a local native word. I'm not sure what the exact tribe would have been. And obviously, the nickname 'Mizzou' comes from 'Missouri.'

I took my username from when I was on pogo.com for a few years. It's simulated gambling, and I'm not doing it anymore, for reasons I'd rather not get into. The "LAW" part comes from my initials, the man part of username should be self-explanatory, and I'm not quite sure where the 247 part came into it at, or why. That's the story of my username. I use it on dragcave.net as well.

Hi all. Well, Kirikat being a cute name or not, I've decided that I really prefer being nightingale, since it more represents me than my cat.
