I fought Leonius with Jovian, Bruce, Keyser, Eander, Angel, Harvey, Rorschach and of course Daniel in my party
This is what followed-Leonius- I can see now...why it was you...Just as I thought... Daniel- You knew this was going to happen, didn't you? I could see it in your eyes. Leonius- Of course...After all, I'm no one. To think that that I could defeat the Hand of Fate on my own would be...folly. Daniel- If you had surrendered, your life might have been spared. There was no reason to do a thing like this. Leonius- You still do not understand. There are many like me...who have no strength, no power. We are weak, Daniel...This is what weak people do. I have no regrets about what I have done. All in all it was nothing but a gamble...and I lost...That massive weight upon my shoulders...is finally lifting...Thank you...Daniel...I am glad that it was...you... Daniel- Leonius, you thought so little of yourself. Would you have been a happier person if you had never been made a general? Eander- Did you ever realize what an incredible honour it is to be one of the four legion commanders of the royal army? Do you realize what you've thrown away, Leonius...? Keyser- Perhaps he was just weak...but that's not a justification. Jovian- I can never forgive you, Leonius, not after what you've done to Daniel and the rest of us. Rorschach- Is it really over, Anna? Can you finally rest in peace now? Bruce- ....Farewell, General.

*tear*
So Harvey and Angel ends up not being that important in the Leonius story either. Oh well I'm sure there will be more interesting cutscenes with diff people. Next time I replay the game I'm gonna save and rotate the party ![]()

Some people's stories just don't get to come out in a large army like that, but yes, he *is* the most secretive of the mandatory characters.
Btw, I don't know if you've discovered this, but after Orlando is recruited, go speak to Galius with Deus in the party ![]()

Wow! Another secret scene!
It was sweet So there's a possibility of finding some more such scenes with other characters as well, letting us know more about them (plus theres Meiko's interviews)...I like the way the developer made all the 75 characters so interesting & unique and added all these secret scenes...making us come back for more long after the game has ended ![]()

Location of the Grunthall battle plan (Battle Plan #2): Go to Bergstadt, check the rooms in the Governor's house for a chest that was previously blocked off.
Btw, I found nearly all, but don't remember where exactly...Drat! I should have noted it down ![]()

Wow!!
Beautiful ending! But it left a few questions unanswered Who is the shadowy figure? What does this mean - Dragon in the east, a star in the west, twin signs appear, Brotherhood?? ![]()

Maybe it hints that the game is not over yet!
I'm quite certain that the post-credits sequence is a teaser for a sequel The creator has made 2 full-length games already, so why not a third? ![]() Does anyone remember the exact words of that sequence? ![]()

I dunno, latyss, the endings for the characters seem very final... maybe SCF *might* make another game, but it will again be a stand-alone game?

Played the final battle for this...I guess it's much easier (& its fun too!) than those optional bosses of the Spiritual plane...
But I don't want the game to end just yet, so returning to the Spiritual Plane...The dragon will consume the east. A star will fall in the west. When the twin signs appear, chaos will sweep across the land, and it shall mark the end of the world. Remember this: when the time of the prophecy comes, only I can save you. Only the Brotherhood can save you. I wonder what it means... ![]()

Lol aisling
![]() Anyway, here's that incredible part of the storyline, just like I promised Immidiately after the battle with Gudrun (I had Daniel, Tarlia , Griever, Jovian, Ayara, Myst in my active party with Angel & Stormgaard in the entourage), in the cutscene that follows, we learn everything we wanted to know about Griever and Gudrun...Below is the conversation that followed (its long but great)- -CUTSCENE BEGINS- Griever: Gudrun...is this really what you wanted? Gudrun: That voice...I can't believe it. Is that really you...? Is it really you...Freya? It's been so long... -FLASHBACK SCENE FOLLOWS- Freya: How did it go? Gudrun: Ugh...you know how difficult they can be. It's the same as always. Freya: Are you feeling okay, Gudrun? You don't look so well... Gudrun: I'm fine, it's just that...Well, sometimes it seems like you're my only friend, Freya. -A LITTLE LATER- Gudrun: The emporor has made his decision. We'll be taking the main army westwards immidiately. Freya: Westwards? Is this going to be another training mission? Gudrun: Yes...and no. Freya: What do you mean? Gudrun: Our orders are to mobilize against the Hazan. Any of them who do not pledge allegiance to the Emperor must be wiped out. Freya: The Hazan? Those nomads? But they're hardly a threat to us. Gudrun: You must've heard that Emperor Sigmund is planning a war against Kirgard. He's saying that to fight the war properly, we need a united Almenga. But I know that's not all of it. This is also a 'test run', to see how our army performs in a real battle. Freya: You mean...we're attacking the Hazan just as some kind of target practice? Gudrun: Those are the Emperor's orders. Freya: You can't be serious. Are you really going along with this, Gudrun? Gudrun: Those are the Emperor's orders. Freya: I know that, but...you must've tried to change his mind, haven't you? Gudrun: You know as well as I do that's it's no use. Sigmund would not listen to me. We've tolerated the Hazan in our lands for a long time. It's not asking too much to have them bow to the emperor. The emperor's orders...are absolute. Freya: .... -LATER AT THE RUINS OF THE HAZAN'S VILLAGE- Freya (thinking): Why didn't I run? Why did I take part in this? Gudrun: Freya, we're moving on. A few miles to the south there's a village that continues to resist. We have to set an example for the rest. Another village and they're sure to surrender. Freya: Stop it, Gudrun...Why are we doing this? This is madness. Gudrun: .... Freya: You know it, don't you? It's pointless. Uniting Almenga? Expanding our territory? It's none of that. It's just...a massacre. Gudrun, I...I never told you, did I? I am not a pure-blooded Almengan like the rest of you. My parents kept it a secret from everyone else. But my mother was not born in Vanaheim as she claimed. Her family came from this very area. I am half-Hazan myself. Gudrun: Freya... Freya: Even though you're my closest freind, I couldn't tell you this before. I was ashamed of my background. I was afraid of being seen as a lessr person, too afraid to speak out even when you told me about this...mission. I've been killing my own people because I was too worried about how others would see me if they knew. I should not be ashamed of being Hazan. I should be ashamed of myself, of my own weakness. Now tell me, Gudrun. What's the meaing of this? For what purpose have I thrown away all my dignity? Gudrun: These...are the emperor's orders. Freya: To hell with the emperor's orders! How do-you- feel about it, Gudrun? What do -you- think!? Gudrun: It's going to happen either way. This is just something we...have to do. We don't have a choice. Freya: Yes we do! No matter what, we still have the option to walk away! Gudrun: If you don't do it, someone else will. If you run, you'll throw away everything you've been working for, your entire future...and it's not going to change anything. Freya: Even so, I will not take part in this any longer. Gudrun: It's too late, Freya, our hands are already stained. You're no longer innocent. We cannot escape. Freya: I hope you'll come around some day, Gudrun. Maybe one day you'll realize that everyone can change...even you. (Freya leaves) Gudrun (thinking): At first I hated you for abondoning us, but then I started to hate myself instead, because I didn't have the power to run away. Freya (thinking): Running away, straying from the normal path, is not an easy thing to do. But even so, even if I had the stregth to face my past. I just kept running. -FLASHBACK ENDS- Gudrun: Freya...don't let your past determine your future...Look where it got me. Griever: I'm sorry, Gudrun. Gudrun: Don't be...This is what...I deserve...Forgive me...Freya. I wish...I could've gone...with you... Griever: I'm glad...I could meet you one last time...Farewell, dear friend. -CUTSCENE ENDS- PS: Unfortunately there's no cutscene with Tarlia & Stormgaard.

Tarlia appears alongside Daniel and Griever after the battle with Gudrun, but doesn't say anything. She does not appear in the flashback part of the cutscene though.

I wonder if she might play a more important role if Griever is not in the party? Or maybe she has already said all she had to say to Gudrun in the Spiritual Plane.

I tried that, I defeated her without Griever in the party. But all she (Tarlia) says is "I'm sorry I had to do this, Gudrun. I'm so sorry...".

Hmm... so in other words, rather on par with Jovian/Eander/the rest with Leonius. Only Griever has a major scene (so far
).
