Why does Ahriman want to destroy the world? Why does Heptitus want to cover the world with snow? What reasons do bad guys really need to go all out in their efforts?

Yeah, I think they just read the script jacket and realized that they should be doing something evil. And they rush to do said evil deed, so they forget to read this.

And Te'ijal hates having her amusement destroyed as said before, so I doubt she would let a mere vampire lord by the name of Gyendal(I'm not saying a spoiler since you learn his name very early in the game) stand in the way of her fun.

We learn his name very early in the game according to Shaz, so it's not really a spoiler. I have no idea how though. Oracle could be the one telling Mel or just there was some random list for world domination that also has the words "By Vampire Lord Gyendal" on it. (Although unlikely)

Aveyondgirl, you're thinking in RL terms. Te'ijal has likely not been a human for a long time, and people do change when circumstances change.

@aisling: i think the term is "human" rather than real life. But other than that, ditto tritto what you said.

@aveyondgirl: you're thinking in human terms, and rather romantic human thoughts at that. You've never seen/heard people who stick around others simply to annoy/play/win that person? Also, let's take look at what we know about her:
1. she's a vampire aka she's not bound by human logic/barriers.
2. she's insane in our point of view. meaning that we really don't know the workings of her mind. In AV1, she appeared fairly crazy to us. In AV2/3 interview, she appears rather calm.

Putting these two 'facts' together, how can anyone honestly know why she did things the way she did? Perhaps she just wanted Galahad as a pet, something to past the time cuz when you're immortal, time is all you got. Perhaps she wanted to break Galahad since he's a paladin and she's a vampire, supposed worst enemies. Perhaps she saw a scrumptious meal with a very large ego and decided to pop that ego. Perhaps she did like him. Perhaps she was simply bored and Galahad provided enough amusement for the time being. The speculations are endless.

The only thing we know are her actions, but not the reasons behind it.

@aveyondgirl: I didn't mean to be offensive. I am merely pointing out the fallacy of applying human logic to a non human race. This is similar to saying a non human animal is 'sad', 'happy', etc.
Correction: sad/happy are human emotions and do not necessarily apply to non human animals. It's called anthropomorphism and one our greatest flaws when it comes to analyzing non human animal behavior.

I like Tei'jal because when I played Aveyond, she was one of the strongest characters in my team, so I <3 her.

I know others have said this, but I liked Te'ijal since she was one of the strongest characters and sometimes that last one standing in a tough fight. I could always count on her to take out a tough enemy.

By the way, has anyone noticed that Te'ijal's name is spelled wrong in the topic title? It's missing the 'i'.

I like Tei'jal because I like vampires. It's as simple as that.

Vampires should be unapologetically vampires. It's who and what they are. Tei'jal is like that. She's not the type of character who cares what others think of her. She is what she is and she is strong because of it. She kicks ass

I didn't really like Teijal much in AV1, she was kind of overbearing and more snobby but she has greatly improved in AV3 ... much more ... well ... human, but retaining her sense of humor and cool quirks.

@Seraphina - I agree, she's much better in AV3. Her character is so much more developed, and more multi-dimentional.

And I just love Teijal&Galahad *sigh* *teehee*.

Galahad and Te'ijal is a very funny couple. Too lovable. Especially in AV3... I like Te'ijal because her humor is unique and awesome Also she and Gala make a cuteee couple _

Actually, in the first few versions of beta, Galahad can choose not to save Te'ijal from the top of Darkthrop Keep, and if you let him choose that Te'ijal will get fried, and Galahad will escape and you'll have to make do without them... Also, Edward never believes in Mel's "make believe quest" until Chapter two.

But yeah, AV3 gave me a feeling that something might change with the cat (Te'ijal) and mouse (Galahad) couple...that most will feel like **. Still, I don't even know how Te'ijal became one of my favorite characters....maybe coz she's witty and funny.
