Hey everyone, if you like Aveyond: Lord of Twilight, would you consider giving it a review at GameZebo? There is one review on the site and the person gave it 1 out of 5 stars!

I know the game can't be that bad, and I'm worried that other players will only look at this first review before they consider downloading.

This game deserves to be the game of the year

Argh, that person gave the review a one just because he couldn't read English and didn't know what to do after putting on the dirty clothes. Riiight....

Um... I think the tutorial told the player that they must go and kill the rat to finish the tutorial and get onto the real story. If I remembered incorrectly, then it must've been one of those things where you don't need to be told and just look.

No, it sounds like they opened the chest and it told them to put on the clothes, but they couldn't do it. I don't think they got as far as killing the rat.

If it was someone who's not familiar with this type of game, I guess it's an opportunity to get a bit confused. But every time you click on the rat, if you don't have the clothes equipped, it tells you how to do it step by step. The tutorial COULD be better - it could SHOW you, or better yet, walk you through it step by step.

Although they did say they played the first Aveyond, so I'm not sure what's so different about equipping stuff here - unless they skipped past the instructions and tried to use them in Items (which I think is what you had to do in AV1).


But it's still not fair to give the whole game a bad review because you couldn't get through one step of the tutorial.

I will definitely write something...once I've finished more than about 30 minutes of the game, LOL!

However, I'm loving it so far. Is there a thread already in place specifically for feedback on the game here? I've poked around a bit and don't seem to see one.

Actually, in Av1, I think you had to go to the "equip" button and just click who gets which piece of equipment. I think it's not that different from the first game. Been a while since I played the first one. (Forgive me if I'm wrong)

In AV1&2, if you had a "clothing" item (not necessarily an armor item), you equipped it using the "Item" menu. Examples of this would be: student and sword singer uniforms and ball gown in AV1, and Iya's traveling clothes in AV2.

However, in this case, the "dirty clothes" are actually armor and provide protection. They aren't just for looks.

I think the person who posted that review just didn't understand the instructions and got frustrated about how the instrucions to put the clothes on repeated themselves. Some people hate repetition, like when your mom nags over and over, you get mad at her. I think the person just wanted to skip the tutorial altogether, just to get on with the game because of impatience.

Although, NONE of you have any idea of how much I'd like to give her a piece of my mind.

Just because she didn't understand the instructions, she did (kind of) lie when she told people the game was bad. Technacly, she didn't really play it. Can someone plz report her as an inapropreate message? Because of some annoying virus/spyware on my computer, my computer isn't allowing me to log into my email account, because it's telling me it's "unsafe" to view personal items while having a spyware progam on my computer. (My computer is going through the getting rid of process now. It's like a 24-hour thing). So I cant verify my account on the website, so I didn't try...

At least now that there are a few reviews from people who HAVE played the game, the overall rating is much higher, and people are not going to be turned away by a low average.

ujwalt, it might just be a server problem.(thier server) I think the best thing to do is to wait a few min., then if it's slow, just be patient.
(I don't think it's possible that they're full of reviews?) But you should just probobly do it again. Oh, and did you click on the five stars before submitting your review? And if your review shows and none of the stars are filled, then are you ablr to edit your review?

well, i'm able to edit it but i can't press on any of the stars so it still remains as no stars filled and i can't even delete my review to re-enter it.
P.S.: i've sent a mail to their customer service about it but i don't think they'll approve.

I've posted an honest review and sent my "kudos" points to all fellow Amaranthians who had done so. Although that 1 star review annoys me too as a fan of AV, maybe it's a good feedback for Amanda as it appears that even imbeciles try to play the game, and the tutorials should be prepared accordingly

Yes, I have duly noted that the tutorial needs to be even EASIER to follow. Read "pictures, not words".

Yep... the tutorial is full of words! I have enough visual straining on school reports to read more text. @_@ xD

I only managed a quarter of it, I think, before the 5 minutes tutorial is up.
