Some people say I'm quick to finish some games(Note, not all. I tend to get stuck on most) in a day.

Now I'm going to replay the game on normal mode.

lol hikari, I bet the expert mode will last you longer.

I finished the game in 9 hours in Normal mode (8 if I didn't count the one hour that I've spent in Istir forest looking for the city lmao)

Have to say that I love it, love the chapter idea even more (I know that I didn't like it at first but now..oh man..a new AV every 3-4 month..I'm in heaven :lol

I am sorry, but i don't think this Chapter idea works well. I have finished chapter 1 in just six hours (normal mode) without using any hints. Both Aveyond and Aveyond 2 gave me over 20 hours of gameplay each, so what I feel right now is extreme frustration.I would rather wait longer for the normal release. I hate the fact that I can't finish it right now and I coulnd't play for longer. If you are going to continue cutting up games into chapters I will have to stop playing Aveyond all together.

I like it so far.I dont play one game too long at a time.I am playing Virtual Families,also.I only play in the evenings.It takes me a while to finish a game.

The idea of a never-ending Aveyond sound appealling to me... I alaways miss the game when I'm finished with it and I imagine if something went this way or that...and what happens to the chars. after the game's over.

If the Aveyond series ever ends, then the only way to keep it alive is by remembering it and imagining what life continues, Goldielox. That's what I think.

So then it sounds like that chapter 2 will truly be a new game cause it isn't the same name. I just figured it would be av3 lord of twilight 1 and then 2 and however many chapters there are. It's not so thats cool.

It's a new game, yes, but unlike Rhen's Quest and Ean's Quest, it still have the same cast, plus some and minus a few In other words, Gates of Night will be a DIRECT sequel of Lord of Twilight.

The very first time I played Av1 I found it at a game website, shockwave I think, and only got to play part of it so at that time I didn't own. After I bought it and started having some problems with some of the quests, lands end I believe I went into the comments for help and saw that someone said to visit amaranthia.com for more help. That was at the point where I got the strategy guide and installed some of the goodies. Now when I play it I refer to it every now and then, but really don't need it and should try playing to see if I can go completely without it. I bet I can, but I still have to have the traveling runes. I do the cash cow also when I really need the money, but only take what I need. I don't play all day cause I can't. There was a time though a couple years ago when I wasn't doing anything so I played several games throughout one day and stopped once I got sick of games. I just can't play the same game usually for hours and hours on end. I work, have a son, and go to college online so even if I wanted to I just couldn't do that. I think it would make me sad to beat av3 in one sitting cause I've waited all this time to play and then I beat it in one day and will have to wait a whole month to play the next chapter. The first time I play well it will be the trial cause I dont' have the funds yet. Once I have the money which will hopefully be next week I'll take several days to beat it. The second time I'll probably go get the guide cause I just like playing a game and knowing I've done everything and gotten everything I can out of the game. Then I feel closure that I did it. If I didn't do it this way I would feel like something wasn't done or seen.

This sounds awesome. I really can't wait now to play avlot. I wish the download would hurry and finish. Hopefully this time I am successful.

I think the second chapter directly continues where the first chapter left off. Y'know where they(Highlight for spoilers) go to the king of Thais to see if he knew how the party could get the first key back from Heptitus. So when the second chapter starts, you're going to that part where they do just that.

You can also level up a lot in preparation for GoN.

You just need to do it all, then go to the end-game part (memory Caves Orb of Life). I completed the game, went back to the save just before that, and am preparing or chapter 2 when I have a chance to play now.
