Like there was something new Those are things that happen even if somebody turns to be a vegetarian.

I still eat meat because it tastes good. And I hate almost any other source of protein and cannot eat fish.

And I saw as a child when butcher came to kill the cows where I grew First he wounded its legs so it couldn't move and after that shot between the eyes.

The thing you have to keep in mind with those videos, is not every farmer does it that way.

And I personally never take what PETA does seriously because they're usually wrong.

PETA suggested to Ben & Jerry's that they use breast milk in their ice cream because milking machines (and milking in general) was cruel to the cows. I guess they think it would be more humane for the cows' udders to just explode.

PETA and all those animal activists seriously get soo annoying.

And they need to stop harassing people. A couple of so called animal activists firebombed one of the schools' professor's house, while there were still kids inside! Not cool man.

And for the record, I will remain a meat eater because:
1. its an easy source of protein
2. it taste good

If you want to be a veggie eater, fine do that. But I would appreciate the same courtesy by not bothering me when I eat meat

Seriously though, if they want to help animals they really need a different approach. Right now PETA and the other groups (sorry, only know PETA) are just harassing people.

ooo you guys are funny. i ,too, remain a meat eater for the same reason as most people...it taste good. =D and besides i just eat anything because i remain hungry for some reason. i eat bones, apple cores, burnt food, and that stuff at the bottom of the pan after your done cooking... so yeah i just eat stuff. any way whats the PETA?

Oh, well. I won't stop eating meat. Good try, PETA . I believe that if humans *have* been by far the most advanced creatures, why don't use your power?

And of course it tastes good.

I'm a vegetarian. Does that mean I harass people about it? Heck no. I don't harass those who eat meat, just as I expect those who eat meat to leave me and my opinion be.

I just don't like the taste, and I don't like the idea. And frankly, it becomes irritating when people around me try to make me eat meat when I've clearly told them no. I've never once bothered people about eating meat.

But back onto the PETA discussion, they've taken it too far. If they want to "defend nature and animals" I don't think it would be such a great idea for them to harass people, and as KTC said, to go so far as to bomb a place full of people.

After all, humans are considered mammals, which is a group of animals. So if these so called "activists" want to save the animals, they should get their facts right and be more peaceful about it.

@poke: dang, ppl need to let people alone when it comes to eating things. (Though I gotta say, I really do not like vegan dishes, especially dessert. The vegan brownies were NASTY.)

Animal activist: It even got to the point where animal activists were defending FLIES since they are a good animal to do gene tests on. FLIES. (I'm not making this up. My professor told us about this.)

no idea bout the brownies. But tried one for the heck of it (and cookie), and it was nasty. I stay far away from vegan dishes now <_< >_>
(I tried other vegan dishes and they were more or less the same results.)
Vegetarian dishes taste so so at my dining hall so I occasionally eat that. But vegan's officially off my menu.

I like only a few vegetarian dishes. And pizza without meat is one of them. I always stay hungry or starve to death after a little while if I've not eaten meat (or it's not the pizza) ... even vegetarian pasta dishes leave me hungry!

I'm definetely not a vegan. I drink almost 10 glasses of milk a day. XD My dad says what I lack in muscle, I make up plentily in bone mass.

And I'm not even sure if I'm supposed to take that as a compliment. 0.o

Animal activists should stop pestering people about whether or not they should eat meat. If people want to eat meat they should allowed to eat it without having to put up with these annoying people telling them about the cruelty involved in killing them to provide the meat.
I'm all for animals rights but I wouldn't go to the same lengths that PETA go to. I certainly wouldn't bomb someone's house.
