I have the same problem, opens fine then a few seconds later I get the Microsoft has encountered a problem and needs to close....

I downloaded the walkthrough, had no problems at all. Thank you all so much for the hard work and the time put in on this! But the truth is, there are no better Walkthroughs than those done here by our own Amaranthians.

OK, I downloaded the one for Microsoft Office 2003, and I have some suggestions:

Some maps have the suggested route while others don't. Either do all or do none.

The Intelligence Agency mini-games are all RANDOMISE (like the password to exit the Underworld), so your solutions won't work.

A few side quests are missing.

You have not revisited the Sewers.

You have also not visited Aveyond.

Other than that it's pretty OK. Keep it up.

I downloaded the 2007 one, and it still closes shortly after opening.

I have tried opening both and close right after too. Is there anyway that you could use a different word processor seeings how so many are having problems?

No the 2007 won't work for me...perhaps next time use Wordpad/Notepad? I can see the maps on the forum.

Same problem here. I've tried both documents and get the same error. I do have Office 2007 so both formats should work for me.

Maybe you should try saving it as a text file and see if that works.

I have the same problem. Word crashes as soon as I try to open either version.

I tried to open the 2007 version in Word, and it crashed mine as well. I then opened the 2003 version in Open Office and it worked - slightly. What I saw in that version may have been what caused Word to crash, or it might have been because I was using OO but there were quite a few times when the text was layered over the pictures, or the pictures were layered over each other.

Beyond that, it was a good first attempt at a walkthough. I did see a few side quests missing as well. One major thing I saw missing was dipping Sapphire Excalibur in the fountain in Aveyond.

If you want to take the pictures out, they may be what is causing the Word crashes. If they aren't, I'm at a loss for what is, other than Microsoft being buggy. ;-)
