How do you get the apples that a guy in Thornbury wants? Where could I find them? No one seems to be selling them. Help!

You need to look for some apple trees in the forest east of Thornbury for Angus' apple quest. They look quite different from the rest of the trees and are scattered throughout the woods.

Oh ok, thank you so much! I wonder how I missed those trees when I've been to that forest quite a few times now. Maybe because I was concentrating too much on dodging the monsters roaming around that area

Interesting note about that pick-ax: Once I had it, I used it in various places. But in one cave, the one by Ever's in the mt., I couldn't use it. I got a message saying, "Maybe if I had a pick-ax?" or something like that. I tried "equipping" the ax, but that didn't work. In all the other caves, I just pressed enter on a crack and it worked. So I'm not sure if there is a special ax for that wall in the cave by Ever's, or if that's a bug.

And talk about odd timing - sometimes I can't find anything good to play, and sometimes it comes all at once. I just got the news from the Laxius forum, that Inidera put out another game (free) while we wait for the next one he's doing. It's called "Laxius Party", and it's pretty fun (no great surprise). So now I have a bunch of games to play. YAY!

Which cave do you mean exactly? The one en route to Evers' cave (Evers' Pass), the one with the switches or the holes? If you mean the first one, it's works for me. Or could you post a screenshot? If it's a bug, I could let the creator know about it.

The Laxius series is amazing so I'm pretty sure the new game will be as good if not better. Thanks for letting us know But it'll have to wait as I'm quite busy with AV3 at the moment

@iya- I probably don't have a save anymore at that point in the game, but it's the cave after Ever's, the one with the switches and holes. In that cave, close to the top of the cave (I think close to where the bedroom is), there's a crack in the wall, and I tried to break that open, and I got the, "I should look for a pick-ax" message, even tho I had one. And there is another pick-ax in the bedroom, but you can't pick it up.

@dgfurman: I'm afraid I can't recall the crack you're referring to (and I'm too lazy to play through that part again ). I remember that other axe you mentioned which you can't take as it's falling apart or something to that effect. I don't think it's related to this though, the axe we already have should work. Perhaps we should just leave it for now and wait till some other player comes across it or we could check out that area again when the next book is released so that you don't miss out on anything

Now I'm stuck at the Ancient Ruins. I've made the water go down but I can't find the magic torch to light the rest of the torches. It's getting difficult to explore more to look for it with dozens of ghost guards chasing you...

Try examining the curtain on the first floor by the fountain. But you'll need to know a word to get the magic torch. It can be learnt from the prisoner on the third floor.

Where can I find a fishing rod? I've come across several places where I could fish but can't seem to find a fishing pole anywhere.

You need to complete a quest in Dewbream in order to receive it. Once you get the Yew Fishing Pole, take it to Roland's boy. He'll give you a Wooden Fishing Pole in return. The Yew Fishing Pole won't work, only the wooden one will.

Well I just started playing this game (yay! finally got some time). I'm about to venture out to meet the Dwarves. But I would like to explore the cave at my hometown before setting out. Does anyone know where can I find lantern for that?

OH NO! I forgot to go to Dewbream - augh! Well, I guess all the more reason for me to play through it again, once the 2nd book comes out. Or maybe I have a save before I go back to the hometown. Ugh.

@Aura: You won't be able to explore those caves for now as the lantern comes later on. The exploring will have to wait until you return to Willow Glen after seeing the Dwarves.

It was simply awesome! I especially loved the romance between William and Charis. A really well-told story so far.
