I've always in love with Renaissance and Early Baroque era music. I hope I could play a harpsichord sometime in future... :-)

what are your favoute composers from the early baroque period? I like monteverdi, though I prefer music from the romantic period.

I feel so out of my depth here. I like Bach and Mozart. were they baroque or renaissance?

anyway, as for today, being my second day in music college, lol, we didn't have much proffesors present so we just jammed. i mean my classmates and i just sang and played the piano for the class lol.

@Natalie: I love Monteverdi and Sweelinck too, due to his works of blended late Renaissance and early Baroque.

I love some Romantic era music too, especially Liszt one.

For Renaissance, my favorites are William Byrd, Orlando Blooms. For Baroque, my best favorite is Henry Purcell. Well, of course, aforementioned composers are English lol.

P.S. I love My Ladye Nevells Booke and Fitzwilliam Virginal Book and some other Renaissance books written for keyboards (e.g. virginals, harpsichords, organs, clavichords, claviorganum).

The clavichords are very fine...and I like them!

Very nice, the harpsicord is an awesome instrument. I love liszt but I find playing his pieces difficult because have small hands which make it it impossible to play chords larger than an octave.
