Oh I see. I play Liszt's Liebestraum (Dream of Love). People said that's his easiest piece, I suppose.
In my opinion, I personally feel that Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven is so far was the chords which has more than one octave. Perhaps, I ain't that experienced and restricted to early music. So, that's why... Cuz early pieces tend to have fewer octaves...

I agree, I love listening to composers from the romantic period but I can't play most of them apart from some of the kinderscenen pieces by schumann, such as traumerei.

Oh... Traumerei by Schumann, that's the memorable that I wish to play sometime in the future... Hmm... I think it gotta be harder than Renaissance and Baroque music, basically...

It is a lovely piece, it's not as difficult as you think. I thought it was difficult to play but it only took me about a month. I'm currently learning to play Gymnopedie no 1 by Satie.

Oh thanks for the advice, Natalie.
![]() By the way, Gymnopedie No.1 by Erik Satie sounds easier than Traumerei. But I love the tone of Gymnopedia, kinda nocturnal sound, great music at night. P.S. I took months to master Fur Elise by Beethoven... ![]()

I was able to Fur Elise at one point, but I can't play it any more, I struggle with the middle part.

she was asking me how it went again, i could only remember it when i myself played it. lol. i guess i kinda forgot some parts.

Those you've mentioned - Fur Elise, Gymnopedies and Traumerei, all I used to play when I was younger, and I had to play by memory as I can't read music sheet.
But in the end classicals are too heavy for me, too much memorizing to do, so I stick with pop tunes.

I'm back!
I've been gone for a while XD. Anyways, this is off-topic but it's still about music so- Have any of you heard the song 'Amaranth' by Nightwish? These are some of the lyrics: _____ Baptised with a perfect name The doubting one by heart Alone without himself War between him and the day Needs someone to blame In the end, little he can do alone You believe but what you see You recive but what you give Caress the one, the never-fading Rain in your heart, the tears of snow-white sorrow Caress the one, the hiding amaranth In a land of the day break ___ There's more to it, that's just the first verse with the chorus.

Awesome song...
An Amaranthia member had the video posted in her cottage. That's how I was introduced to this song and the group. I now have a couple of their CDs and I'm always blasting it out of my car. ![]()

Uhm, question guys! Do you know where to find the instrumental of "Bella's Lullaby"? I mean, the one from Twilight? YouTube isn't at all helpful.

For Bella's Lullaby, there's not exact music sheet for it, as Pattinson/Cullen just composed the song during the scene itself.
I can play the song, but it might not be exactly as what he plays.

Reading all of the talk about playing classical piano makes me miss playing...I wish I had someplace to play.
![]() For those who liked Nightwish, have you listened to Within Temptation? If not, you may like them too.
