Mists of Naladia

Story:

Long ago, the world of Naladia was of three races, the Dragon-kin, the Mystics and the Humans. The Humans took up the majority of the world, ruling five of the Seven Kingdoms. The Mystic's were very intelligent and great mages and architects, making many of the buildings and structures for the other races, but they kept the best designs for themselves. The Dragon-kin, if you haven't already guessed by their name share a special bond with the dragons of Naladia, the Dragon-kin's population is very small and they fear that because of wars between the Seven Kingdoms they will soon die out, many Dragon's have been imprisoned and forced to work as so called "War Machines" in the wars. The wars are a terrible and what used to be a large number of dragons, has dwindled to that of just five, each being cept prisoner by a certain Kingdom. The Dragon-kin wish to free these dragons before they pass on to the next life. So they sent one of their own, Virgil, to rescue the dragons. Virgil is, even though she doesn't know it, bonded to the last 5 dragons, if they die then she will also. So the Elders of the Dragon-kin tell her she must rescue them all.

Characters:

Jasmine the Sword Weilding Mystic Light Mage
Light Mages have the magics of Light, Earth, Water and Air

Aradin the Staff or Rod weilding Dragon-kin Dark Mage
Dark Mages have magics of Fire, Ice, Darkness and Thunder

Karlie the something Weilding Human Cleric
Clerics have Light and Earth magics as well as all of the healing magics.

Virgil the Lance weilding Dragon-kin Lancer
Virgil has Fire and Darkness magics.

Sly the Bow or Dagger weilding Human Thief
Sly has Thunder, Water and Ice magics.

Marcus the Blade Weilding Human Fighter
Marcus has Fire, Ice, Water, Wind and Earth magics.

Mists of Naladia 2 : A World Within

Story:

Finally the game that carries on from the original, three years afterwards. The Dragonkin survived the Great War and became strong enough to establish their claim of honour on Naladia again. However, three years on, Karn the Chief Elder dies, leaving way for the more sinister dark seers to place someone else in power. Virgil comes back into the story once she realises that the Dragonkin now faces a bigger threat then before. Meeting people like Arla and Sona Virgil is in a situation to prevent the worst possible outcome. The young sibling dragons are now facing death by a dark soul called Hexen. The Great Mighty Dragon... Chase, is eventually let out of the Stream of Emptyness.

Characters:

Virgil The Lancer. Excellent leadership skills which she learnt from Jasmine. A strong battler, acquires skills quickly. Attributes are Fire.

Shezan The Fighter. Surprisingly sharp in battle and has a great array of spells to beat the enemy. Shezan becomes close to Virgil as a friend. Her attributes are Fire too, though she especially excels with learning special fighting skills.

Arla The daughter of Karn, Arla is the Mage associated with weather spells such as Ice and Thunder. Becomes close to Sona.

Sharlot The Red Mage. Special in that she can wield and use a sword like a true soldier. Her vast array of spells make her useful both at the front of battle, and supportive role.

Sona The Cleric. Sona has the ability to learn white magic very quickly. Her intelligence allows her to acquire the most powerful support spells available in the game.

Sloane A friend of Josie, Sloane joins as an ex gang member called a Colt. Excellent strength allows him to be a good battler up front. His attributes are Wind and Earth, but can also use a range of fighter special skills.

Sly A thief, but a close friend of Virgil. Quick in battle, but not so damaging with a dagger. Appears to stay with Arla throughout the story. His attributes are Wind.

I can't play either of these games, each time I try to run them it says RGSS player has stopped running. I really want to play these games.

I'm trying start this game and when i hit introduction to start it, it goes to a screen with three people sitting. It just stays there. There is also a circle on bottom middle that is spinning like it's loading or something, but it just stays there. Any hints on why it's stuck here or am i missing something? The game starts up fine.

I guess you missed out on the font istallation part. Check out the dialogue box in the first screenshot, isn't it the same spinning circle at the bottom? Once you get it installed, the text above the circle will be visible

It's ok now I managed to solve the problem, I needed to change my DEP settings. I love the game so far.

Hi, I have been playing for quite a while and went well for while. . . I'm now at Marcia and climbing up the stairs but it says that I cannot just walk up there and need to crack some code, I did managed to get the correct code on the lever but can't seemed to pass that ladder out . . anyone can help?

I guess you missed out on an important quest to let you out of the sewers. If I remember correctly, you need to go to the cafe and talk to the cook to trigger it. That will open up a task for you to do in the town above.
