No, I don't think GoN will be so early on BFG. But I think it'll be the 2nd place that will have GoN.

Thanks for the teaser, shaz! I'm also glad that the voice pack is being released separately...I'm the type that always turns off the voice acting when I'm playing games (I think it can be rather distracting), so it's nice to have the option to not have the voices.

Gates of Night will be released on BFG at the same time.

I will point out one more time, however, that BFG is under no obligation to take updates to the game. We have a new build Lord of Twilight that fixes a few bugs, but BFG may never take it. Only those who purchased directly from Amanda's site can guarantee that it will work with their game.

For the extra $3, consider whether it's worth purchasing directly from the developer and having guaranteed access to lifetime updates

Shaz: changed the word "patch" to "build" as this comment caused some confusion and concern. A patch is an add-on that is saved into your existing game folders, to replace one or two existing files; patches from here SHOULD run as long as your game is at the correct build, no matter where you purchased the game. A build is a completely new game that has its own installer and wrapper; you can only download new builds from the place you purchased the game, or it will not recognize your registration details. Note - Amaranth Games makes builds available to ALL portals who have taken the original game. The portal decides whether to make it available to people who purchased the game from them.

I'll second your comment there, Shaz - I just bought Aveyond 1 (Rhen's Quest) for the SECOND time here, since the first time I bought a few years back from BFG. I tried redownloading this week to get the Build C with all the cool updates, and it has NEVER been updated there, even though I know Amanda made it available to them long ago. I suspect once they've made their $ once, that's it for a game there. Never again will I buy one of Amanda's games there, since I know she supports and updates hers for years. Lesson learned for me!!

Shaz, I'm so excited for gates of night. Will gates of night finished the orbes of magic story? Or will there be other chapters in the story? Or the next game will start something totally new? Also when can we expect the next game after gates of night to come out.

There will be another chapter after GoN, so the Orbs of Magic series won't end with GoN. As for the next chapter, Amanda has said between 3-4 months.

Beth, refer to my posts #728 and #730. And it'll probably be awhile before the next game comes out, since unlike GoN, the game hasn't been developed yet.

Separate program. However, if you saved your LoT end game into GoN's save menu (you'll know what I mean if you've completed LoT at least once), you will be able to carry over your save file to GoN.

Thanks for the information, Shaz, and I intend not only to buy GoN from this site rather than BFG, but I'm also going to get the updates here, too. Not that I'm dissing BFG; I'll still buy other games there. But this is the place to get Amaranth Games.

I love BFG - I have game credits up to my ears! But for the difference in price, and the fact that you're guaranteed of getting the updates, it really does make sense to get the game here.

Hey can i point out sory if this is but if you buy from manda your actully better supporter becouse she will get the money direct and easy plus your suppoting am so i vote all should buy GoN here for amanda and i have a question when GoN chapter ends will it end like in LoT in middle of game or only if you have finished all the quests and stuff and will you be able to marry them in GoN

Hmmm - if I tell you how it ends, that would be too much of a spoiler.

There WILL be a wedding in GoN.

As with all the Aveyond games, there are a series of mandatory quests, which you must complete, that draw you towards the end of the game. You will not be able to finish the game until these are complete. But (as with all Aveyond games) there are also a number of side-quests that do not need to be completed before the game ends. With these, you may receive the quests, but the game could finish, or you could find yourself unable to go back to that area after reaching a certain point in the game, and you may end the game with those quests still in your journal.

There are also at least two quests that come to mind where your choices may leave you unable to complete them. Like the King Lionel statue in AV1 (where you could give it to the elves or the thieves, but not both), and the North Wind quest in AV2 (where you could give it to the chap in the wind lab or use it on the troll, but not both).

I would like to Galahad become a fullfledged vampire, and that he finally realises (sorry if it isn't good english) that he loves her. They make such a cute couple!!!

And i'm giving all of the attraction-points to Mel, for two reasons, namely 1: to poke an eye out at Lydia, and 2: once she was a thief, and now she never have to be again!!!
