I'm trying to answer direct questions without giving away any of the plot, and using as much as I can of what Amanda's already revealed. That last post I made could easily be applied to ANY of the Aveyond games, so I've not revealed anything specific to Gates of Night (though if you WANT to believe I've actually told you anything in there and it gets you excited for the game, go right ahead )

Just remember Gates of Night is not the end of the Orbs of Magic series. The story will be continued further.

Shaz - I'm only teasing. You've done a great job of satisfying our curiosities and not giving things away at the same time.

in book 3 of the orbs of magic series, will it feature the same characters? And will it still be considered AV3, or will it be AV4?

Orbs of Magic = AV3, no matter which book number you're on. AV4 will be a completely different series. And while there has been no info on Book 3 yet, I'd hazard a guess that Mel will at least remain protagonist. This is her story, after all.

I'm trying to chill about it myself. It's really hard though to resist knowing more about the new game. It will be here soon and then all our questions will end I'm sure.

Oh, I'm sure it will just introduce a whole new round of questions.

i cant wait until the other aveyond comes out i am a 100% aveyond fan and if i am able to would recruite others to try the game and i already have and ended up getting a few of my other friends addicted to the game

If Mel doesn't remain as a protagonist in book 3, then Galahad and Te'ijal will be the only ones?

I do not believe so. However you look at it, T/G are still second place to Mel. Without Mel, the Orbs of Magic would be utterly useless. They help Mel, not the other way around.

Let's wait for GoN to come out before speculating about Book 3, yes?

I've heard that Mel was going to end up on the Arishta Isles(Place where Rhen travels in) at the comments for the guild screenshots and I doubt we're going to have a need to even go back to Thais unlike Av1 where Rhen and the others need to go there. It's probably for a spy mission or something. (Or is going to turn out that Mel is time traveling?)

As I've said, we're getting ahead of ourselves, when we don't know how Book 2 will leave us. I'm sure there's been mention of this and that, but anything can change between now and then. So please. Thanks.

wow - Amanda said LONG ago that the next chapter would take us back to the Arishta Isles. She didn't say Mel wouldn't be in the game, and she didn't say Thais would no longer exist. You're reading a LOT into that comment that isn't there.

Also keep in mind how long ago that was, and that the outline for the chapter hadn't been written yet. Things have a way of changing.
