Also, when I first played AV1 I didn't go to the Wildwoods for ages because someone in Veldarah said not to go to the Wildwoods without a guide. So I saw Elini on the cliff and I thought "okay, she'll be my guide" but then she said she wouldn't join my party until I got more experience. So I kept training and training and training but STILL Elini wouldn't join.

It wasn't until I peeked at a walkthrough when I learned that Elini wouldn't join until you graduated from the Academy, and you couldn't graduate without going into the Wildwoods alone.

I screwed up AV1 a dozen different ways. I didn't realize Lars could go to school, so I was most of the way into the Wildwoods (and grumbling at that lazy Elini) and dying constantly. I was ready to throw him out of my party.

I also took all the spells I could for Rhen, thinking later on I could return to school somehow - she very quickly became useless.

I also wanted all the magic spell options, which left me with Rhen, Lars, Dameon and Elini in areas where only physical attacks were supposed to work. Lessons learned.

When I first played aveyond I didn't realise that I needed to go to aveyond first before going to the wildwoods.

@EsmeAmelia I did the that very mistake when i first played Av1! I levelled them up to level 21 & thought when in the world will Ellini join me! I got bored & i though of moving on. I thought maybe if i went in there alone & fought some monsters & came back to her alive she would be convinced that i'm well trained enough for her!


Another silly mistake i did in LoT, i thought why not help Te'ijal & turn Galahad to a vampire completely? I thought that would make him stronger & he will also have the drainig ability! So at the part where i was supposed to get Te'ijal & Galahad out to the overworld, i bought fresh blood from Ghed'are's item's shop & made Galahad drink it, thinking that it would make him look so pale & with red eyes! lol!

The blood used to be bread in the older betas, though. Until it was suggested to be changed because vampires don't eat bread...

Yeah, I asked about the blood in another thread. I thought Galahad would refuse it, or I thought Lydia would be shrieking and sick as a dog. Apparently it's too difficult to program.

So i'm not the only one?!

Another silly mistake i did when i first played LoT was that i didn't know about Te'ijal draining ability. I went to fight Heptitus & got killed several times. I asked a friend on how to beat her, & she told me about several things to do including using Te'ijal's draining ability. So i thought i'd level them up a lil then give it another shot. I kept using Te'ijal's draining skill, though she had full HP bar. It always missed & i thought that it is probably because i didn't train her enough she keeps missing! I even thought of starting the game over to train Te'ijal from the very beginning, lol! Luckily, i discovered why she kept missing before i start over!

Thought Teijal was boring and was only good for smashing things.

And than I discovered how to activate the soul amulet.

Oh I felt stupid afterwards

Here's something stupid that Ryo did. In AV1, once Rhen discovered her powers and gained her freedom from being a slave. The emissary from the academy said that he, lars, and the other emissary would be leaving tomarrow. Naturally, Ryo thought he'd be able to leave with them since walking through a forest alone, with a stick, isn't really safe. So he went to sleep at the inn and then spent hours wandering around trying to find them. and then when he didn't find them, he restarted the game and wandered around the town trying to figure out how to get Rhen to go to the academy with Lars and the emissarys. >.<

KTC-how do you activate the soul amulet? (I may have done this without realising but just in case!)

Heero-I thought the same thing with Tei...I couldn't understand how to beat the skeletons until someone on this forum told me about her draining ability!

@jay: get the soul amulet. Get galahad into your group. than use the soul amulet on galahad (access from item menu)

I actually never used the Soul Pendant. Didn't even activate it until we got to Thais and I started checking out what all of my stuff did. XD

I suppose that would be my big AV1 thing--I didn't really go through and see what all of my non-restorative, non-equipment stuff was for a long time. Doing it in Thais wasn't a bad place to check out the love potion, though--it is where all the weddings take place.

I gotta replay AV1 sometime. Going to have to rebuy it, though. (But I'll get Build C this time around! )

Rena-my experience was similar...I didn't want to lose anything that was non-restorative or equipment so I didn't try them out for a very long time!

Hmm, played build C, wonders what the fairy's at the temple for. Tried forever to reach it, them gave up. ;_;

There's another group of fairies who want to go to Aveyond. Try getting both groups together.

Spoiler: It was a problem before that people weren't getting the fairy dust from the second group, so there was nothing to get Dameon sane again. That's why the change, so that you really can't help getting the fairy dust.

my worst mistake was in the days of build A. i tried to save the moon (fourth or fifth) druid first, about 50 times before i realized it wasnt working.

About the only silly mistakes that I remember making are going in to an area that was way above my current level. It wouldn't take long for me to figure that one out since it would usually end with a game over screen.

I do that alot too Mizzou. I screwed up in Gates of night to, not getting certain people engaged before they were taken away. Oh and I would totally armor some characters up and then they would leave the party so i'd be stuck playing a character I wasn't before with practically no armor.
