i finished
it was a wonderful game.you dont even need a strategy guide or goddie caves to play it smoothly. such an awesome release

i dont understand why everyone says it was short. quite the contrary.TLO was a huge game with lots to explore (unless you use the strategy guide but thats not fun is it?)

Plus, if you combine all 3 chapters, you get a longer game than Aveyond 2 or Aveyond 1 or even both

I don't understand it, either.

Knowing where everything is and completing every quest/sidequest, LoT and GoN took me about 7-8 hours each.

For TLO, it took me nearly 10 hours.

TLO has more content than the other two, so I don't know how people can say it's short, unless they missed a lot.

5 hours? hard to believe since traveling alone takes forever.

also, i'm doubting the all quests thing since some require replaying in order to get all endings to certain quests. Have you discovered all the recipes also?

Tlo took me roughly ~12 hours, and several more to finish optional quests and/or find ways to crash the game (ie more bug hunting for the bug smashers to smash)

i did. it took me like 15h to do it.
It was the longest one in the series, i done the others in 9 or less hours....

forcing sounds like a speed run to get from point a to point b as quickly as possible. AV games aren't for that type of play. Exploring and talking to people is a large part of the game.

crashing: i meant I was suppose to find ways to crash the game while playing lol.

Finding a replacement act for the circus.

Finding the real golden frog for Walt at the Thais Museum.

Did you complete these side quests? They take quite a bit of work.

5 hours? Don't make me laugh, even if u are lvl 99 u need to walk a lot(like KTC said)...so no it's not possible to finish it in 5 hours. Also the maps and places are huge and need a lot of exploring which is needed to move forward with the game. So even if u force yourself u can't finish in 5 hours. I'm playing the game more than 10 hours (Ok ok I admit I've been hanging around Spook often while he was in tavern lol) and I'm using the transport all the time to get from place to place but the catch is that u need to activate the transport first so u can't transport to a place where u haven't been.
I don't believe that even a beta-tester who knows every detail in the game can finish in less than 8-9 hours *points at the walking* So 5 hours...plss....

I might believed u if u said 8-9 hours...cause this game is huge compared to part 1 and 2...wait I wouldn't..cause u haven't seen the game before and u weren't a beta-tester.

@moony: beta testers struggle through the game just as much as regular players do, more so actually since you had to do a bit more walking (reaper express did not exist at first. tini said the alpha version was much more complicated) and some of the puzzles were more vague. Not to mention bug hunting which will increase time.

The programmers purposely do not tell us anything and only hints to help us get along in the game so that we would play as 'naturally' as possible, doing things regular players would do. (like getting lost)

So its quite possible for regular players to get through the game faster due to the changes during alpha/beta testing.

@KTC I Know but yet after testing u know where to find what etc..and regular person just must search.

ex: If ur looking for a cave and it's left, beta tester would know it's left so he/she'll follow that path, but regular player wouldn't know. Even if there are changes those changes are minor I guess..not something big like the look of the maps etc.
