Wanted to play the game again today for the second time but now my AVG virus say virus detected.

Shaz: no, she can't Guildys can DELETE their own posts, but only mods can merge. However, anybody can EDIT their posts, so you could just do that next time, and add the extra info

Moon, if you could go to that thread and enter the details Amanda requested in the first post, she'll be able to contact them and get them to fix their virus database.

In the meantime, you MAY be able to go into your antivirus program and flag Aveyond - The Lost Orb.exe as a "safe" program so the virus scanner will ignore/allow it. How you do this differs for each antivirus program.

I've been happily playing this game for 2 days now but today AVG says the exe file has Trojan horse BackDoor.Generic12.AIZY and even if I press Ignore it still won't open. Help! How can I get back into it?

I tried that ignore in my AVG virusscanner but still say virus detected, now I have Avast and can play again :-) When you uninstall they ask why you do that I wrote can't play Aveyond games false virus detection maybe they read that

who knows but amanda will contect them any way

I hope she can solve it because its a very good scanner

Also, from where did you download the game? There is a pirated version out that triggers a virus message, so if you didn't download it from either here or BFG, you shouldn't disable the virus to run it, just in case.

Good point tiniponi. The game is available legally ONLY on Amaranth Games and Big Fish Games (and their affiliates) at the moment. If you downloaded your game from anywhere else, it is a pirated version and could well contain a REAL virus.
