Ah, yes. Omega's cottage is just a "copy" of the cottage.

When getting the code from the Google Cache, only line 317 should have been copied, since that is where all the cottage code was.

Copying ALL the code from the Google Cache page and putting it in your cottage just displays the Google Cache page, if that makes sense.

Ahh ok, that would explain it. That may have been what happened to my cottage as well before I removed the coding. I have to remove all those breaks and such before I can copy and paste the correct coding back into my cottage. I have like 31 pages of coding. O_o

Does the google cache only work with some cottages? I as never able to find mine.

Well, if you were able to recover your cottage shortly after the site crash occurred using google cache, it should have appeared. However, if you can't find it now, it may have expired. I was able to find mine but the coding's a bit messed up so I have to remove some of it before I can place it back in my cottage.

It didn't seem to be there right after the crash of the site. I have most of the cottage saved somewhere else, but I'm not sure if it has some of my more recent changes included.

Maybe it's just me that's too impatient, but the edit button (and all of the other buttons) are missing

The cached pages of our cottages are most likely all expired now.

Your best bet is to just use what you have saved.

They seem to all be there for me. They're in the same place as before. The edit button is an icon that looks like a pencil and paper now. Just hover your mouse cursor over the icons and you will see what each one represents. Also, make sure you click on "View your cottage" at the top of the page first in order to see those icons.

Yep. The edit button is missing. In fact, the userpage will only load halfway and then will stop. But the edit button won't appear

The only possible explanation could be is if you're entering coding for a cottage that you had on the site before it crashed found via Google Cache. That may be why the buttons are missing.

Unless you're creating your cottage entirely from scratch?

It may be connection problems or something. Try clearing out your internet cache and cookies (from the internet options tab) then try reloading the page again.

I finally got my harddrive and got everything back on.

Now I cant view cottage messages and dont have edit and other buttons no way to get into editing....If anyone goes to my cottage it is emtpy

I need some major help.

If the comments and buttons are missing, that usually means something is wrong with the format of your coding.

I made a copy of all my coding. I am going to delete everything in cottage and see if cottage is fixed. If so Ill start putting one thing at a time back in and keep viewing cottage as I do. Once I find the bad code it should mess up agian is that correct or do you know a better way?
