I like Berserkish spells, which is why I got Rhen boot slappin' mara. But then, I think I'll go for Necromancers this time.

I used Plague on Ahriman before - it was the only way I won, at level 70. Lars cast Plague on Ahriman, and Ahriman cast Reality shift, killing everyone but Te'ijal, who drank and elixir, got whacked again, and drank another elixir, while Ahriman's health continued to drain quickly because of the Plague, and succumbed to the Ebola Virus and died.

my personal favorite is the elite mage guild, and yet i have no idea why that is. maybe the seem a bit more rounded compared to the necromancers

it took me a while to even realize the necromancers existed.i never used to bother about the orb staff early in the game and therefore i never visited the shop between lars becoming a sorcerer, and the elite mages in sedona XD

From what I've seen, Elite Mages specialize in "cheating" form of magic - Backstabbing, Confusion, Charming, Chicken-turning, etc. All sound very "playing dirty".

thats true. i suppose its all about how lars is doing in the game and if you can afford to wait long enough for an advanced guild.

i think the best guild for lars is the secret guild or the time masters guild. but every body has different opinyons

Umm,there are few different opinions about the guilds.For me is the Neromancer.Why?It has status inflicting skills,they are also powerful and do not use too much mana.On the other hand,there is the Annihilator guild,which has the last spell Shreder,which can also kill enemies really fast.It depends from person to person.If you want status/status+good damage choose Elite/Necromancer,if you like heavy damage,choose either Annihilator or Time Mage.It's up to you.

when im fighting, i prefer to make my enemies berserk, and i dont really care about poison or curse or whatever else. but i didnt want lars to join the elite mages, so i joined annihilator instead.

I suggest Necromancer.It's the best guild,IMO.Powerful spells for low mana,status inflicting skill which are useful in the last dungeon in the game,etc.The single spell which is useful from Elite Mages is Rumor,with a good chance of berserk,but still not worth it...

I think my favorite is the Annihilators. Even though I've only played through it once, the spells are really powerful. I was going to wait until Thais so I could join Time Masters, but Lars was doing about half as much damage as everyone else, so I decided to join it. Absolute Zero worked wonders on the imps in the Demon Caves- it wiped one out every time!

And I also love Rhen and Lars' conversation after not joining Elite Mages

I love the Necromancer guild because "Weevils" works on Ahriman works like a toxic poison.

i just choose necromacer guild~ b'coz Lars will have weevils, it really help u fot fight Ahriman

Depending on your definition of "best", really. Best damage depends on what the enemy is. For Ahriman's Lair the best spell for Angels are Annihilator spells with Dragon Orb attached. Best spell against wyverns are Time Master spells with Charmed Orb attached.

I always thought that Charmed orb is good for Necromancers. "Charm" is a skill from Necromancer guild or maybe from Elite Mages? I don't know for sure.
