i tried the following to install the GOD goodie:
1) Download and open the ZIP file. You will see a saved game file inside.
2) Open C:\Program Files\Ahriman's Prophecy.
3) Drag the save game file from the ZIP to the Ahriman's Prophecy folder.

BUT ITS STILL NOT WORKING!!! HELP! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?

yes but when i open the game it still didnt overwrite the first slot. help!!!

which folder are you dragging the save file to? Is it a rather blank one? Or one with tons of map files?

The one you need to drag it into is the one with tons of map files.

i did. i already had a save file 1 . i replaced that one with the GOD save file . but that didnt work either. it didnt overwrite it.

When you replaced the save file, did windows ask you to confirm if you want to overwrite the old file with the new one?

What do you mean OS? The file that is already there is the GOD goodie so it should work but it isnt. Do i have to delete a certain map and replace it?

Have you tried checking %appdata% then? I heard that in Vista and 7, AP's save files are supposed to be there.

i dont see that folder. on my computer, saves are in the ahrimans prohecy folder

So, when you put the god goodie save in the AP folder, what is actually happening when you start the game?

If the goodie save is save01.lsd, you are supposed to choose Continue Game and then load the save in slot 1. The game is supposed to start from the beginning, but the goodies will be implemented. This isn't happening?

no it dosent start from the beginning it just continues

It sounds like you either overwrote the god goodie file accidentally, or you've put the file in the incorrect folder. If you're POSITIVE you didn't accidentally overwrite it, then try this:

Start the game, then save in a previously unused slot. Be sure to notice which save number it is, then search your computer for that file. Since Windows 7 may save in a different location than other Windows systems, that will show you where that game is saved. Then put the god goodie save file in that folder and it should work.

I was wondering if this ever was resolved. I'm trying to use the God goodie on Windows Vista and it won't save. I even tried looking under appdata\roaming and can't find it.
I'm unable to save the princess and I'm about to give up!

try looking for this file:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Ahriman's Prophecy

This is where you drop the God goodie save file (looks like Save01.lsd) into.

alternatively, you can drop it here:

C:\Users\*name of user*\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Ahriman's Prophecy

ya if your gonna put goodies on this site, make sure they WORK. I have the same problems but I dont have windows vista. it says that the goodie was eather damaged or decoded wrong and wont work.

These goodies have been working for years. It's not the goodies' problem; it's the newer versions of Windows causing the issues.

If you don't want to make beating the game "rocket science", then take the easy route and don't install any goodies at all. It's not like the game is impossible without them. Quite the contrary, the goodies were introduced solely for fun, not because they are needed.

The goodies themselves are 100% working save files. I just tested the god goodie myself on XP and it worked perfectly fine.

No, the real problem is locating the correct folder to place the save files in which is complicated as for some reason or other, the folder is not located in the same place for all windows system (wins7, vista, XP).
