Build C? *SPOILERS*
I've noticed these games seem to change quite a bit from the first build. Just in case that happens again, here's the biggest (tiny) changes that i think would make a big difference for future players. I'm sure others might have something to add here too. 1. Apparently you need to have Edward unequip his sword to be able to use the 2 upgrade stations. How/why would we know to do that? An excuse for Edward to unequip would help, either that or for us to just be allowed back later.I get the feeling on the forums that a lot of people were stuck in the same way I was 2. I would have never known about the epilogue if I wasn't here on these forums to look for end of game gossip and speculation. A line to look for that would be nice. 3. Who is Lars VIII? We have no idea who this guy is, other than he bears a physical resemblance to someone 8 generations back. It might be nice if he is an npc/other character if he isn't going to show up in later games (and I doubt it). It's clear that even in canon that Mel and Edward had some attraction to each other at one time, and it would be nice if we could feel this will work out good for her in the end. A little foreshadowing would go a long way. 4. We never graduate. =/ In Edward's case it's sort of frustrating that every time you go back to the school to see if you can learn more skills they seem to think it's the same day (magic prof talks about the reinforcements to the school's perimeter) Edward has clearly been traveling the world over a greater length of time, and no one seems concerned that Mel is gone.

1. That's what replayability is for.
![]() 2. Lol, a hint to watch out for the epilogue? Just... lol. I prefer to think of it as a "reward" you get for staying through the whole of the credits. 3. I'll leave this for others to answer. 4. True, but I don't imagine that the Eastern Empire can DRAG Edward back to finish his schooling, since he isn't exactly able to serve the Eastern Empire, being now King of Thais.

Lars the 8th is a character from previous games, Rhen's nemesis (sort of) if I remember correctly, which is why his and her names are on plaques in the school in Veldarah... if you clicked on everything like I did, that would have at least clued you in to who he was...even if you didn't play Rhen's quest.
As for unequipping Edward.....that was a boo boo for me as well. I had to go back to a previous save because I didn't realize Stella had to go it alone. Once I realized she had to go alone I unequipped Edward, but that's just because I thought to myself "hey there's been a sword station in every place I've been to, maybe I should give her the sword." It was purely a lucky guess. BUT, you can still beat the game pretty easily w/o those two stations if you've used all the other ones.

What the--- really? Where in the school are the plaques? Aisling must see!
P.S. Lars I was Rhen's companion. Lars VIII is his descendant.

if I'm not mistaken the plaques are in the cafeteria....
I know they were companions and all, but they never really got along cause lars was a jerk lol *edit* yes, in the cafeteria, on the wall between where the cook is and the tables are. It has both Lars and Rhen mentioned ![]()

@crcdcc: Not quite true, since when you got the Manor in Sedona (forgot the name), Lars apologized to Rhen for being a jerk- and they got along better. Also, if I remember correctly, there's a non-canon R/L ending in the Build C of AV1.

lol it's been a while since I've played, all I remember was them not getting along. Now that you mention it I do remember something of that sort.

And the books, by the way, confirms that Rhen really did marry Dameon (called her Rhen Darzon Maurva Pendragon, blech), in case anyone still doubts that that was canon x_____X
Still, the fact that we don't get to see Lars 8's pixels/face is disconcerting. What, are we supposed to assume that he looks exactly like his ancestor? Oh Lars... Either he's so proud of himself that he makes it a family tradition to name sons "Lars" or his descendants are the ones so proud of him that they name their kids after him ![]()
