I have finished this game for the second time but am unable to find a bride for Edward. How can I get Edward to Marry Mel?

You need attraction points from the girls to get them to marry Edward. You should have some gifts you can give them.

Mel needs three attraction points. Stella needs two points, and Lydia needs zero.

Any three of the five is fine. And then there's the ring. Ask her about it.

These are the 5 gifts and their locations:

Cupcake - Veldarah (Jenna's birthday party)
Bouquet - Clearwater
Love Song - Sedona
Snail - Underfall
Comb - Mysten Far

How can I find the girls attraction points? I went into their profiles but cant see anything about attraction points! Am I missing something?

No, you won't be able to see the attraction points in their profiles as the 'wooing with gifts' part comes into play at the very end of the game when none of the girls are in your party. Mel needs 3 gifts to make her happy while Stella needs 2 and Lydia none. Keep in mind that the snail works only on Mel

Yup, you can choose to have Edward marry Lydia.

as for why: well, you'll have to ask the player cuz they are the ones directing his fate ;p

I would not get Edward to marry Lydia anyway, she doesn't deserve royalty. Jail is the only place for her. Thanks for the tips, I will have to go back to an earlier stage in the game to get gifts again.

I just beat Darkthrop and am back in Thias, I spent all of my gold on restoratives and things like that and now I don't have enough gold to buy the engagement for the girl of my choice. I have walked all around the city of Thias looking for a place to sell my unused items to get money for the ring, and nobody will buy my stuff! They only want to say how much Edward's grown and how good it is to see him again, which is sweet but unhelpful :/ If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Look around the castle for treasure chests. You'll find exactly 8000 gold to afford a ring.

And no, you won't be able to sell off any of your stuff.

Look around the castle... the village bags of gold aren't really worth much, most of the 8000 gold is in the chests hidden around the castle.

lol! He's probably terrified of what will happen if he DOESN'T go tell his mother, since she's sworn that he needs a bride by the end of the day.

So does Edward really want to get married or he just want to rule? I'm sure he loves Mel, but it seems to me that he won't even marry her if his mother didn't tell him to... Especially when he said that "Great!"

I learn that I can't sell my unused items the hard way. I also hate having to search for more money. However, opening all that red chests is fun! Hope you find all the chests (there is no chest outside the castle)

Actually, there are two chests just outside the castle, around the front walkway.
