I am unable to download AP onto my computer. I have Windows 7, and my error says something about Win32... Any ideas?

you're not able to download it at all? Or are you unable to install it?

If its downloading: your antivirus might be giving you a false positive and not letting you download. Disable it temporarily and/or add ahriman prophecy as an exception.

If its the install: don't know bout that.

Win32 is supposed to be a Trojan virus type S, meaning a severe type of a virus. It attacks all executive files and applications you have in the computer, as well attacks the main Windows core, removing most of the files the computer uses. The Anti-Virus won't recognize it, but will remove the files not knowing the source, and technically, the Anti-Virus kills the PC. I suggest, in order to solve Win32 type of errors, re-install Windows completely, custom install, removing all you have on the PC, my deleting partitions and formatting the space. This is a very common error among Trojan type viruses, which are spreading fast, it seems.

HOLD IT. reformatting a computer should be the very last resort.

And if it was a virus, you should try windows Malicious Software Removal tool or other programs before reformatting.

i have a problem that says:
"Safari cannot open the file Ahrimans_Prophecy.exe because there is no available application that can run it"
message now...

@ KTC a little bit of both... It lets me download it, but not run it, so yeah installation, I guess...

@aveyond: instead of using safari to open it, can you try opening AP directly on the desktop? Click the exe.

if you can't do that, try this suggestion.

I just said the most common around here, since I had to remove that virus from more than 40 computers by now.

@kenneth: just because that's what you do doesn't mean that's the correct thing to do.

A person should always attempt to try other avenues before resorting to reformatting, especially since reformatting isn't exactly easy.

I know because I had to clear viruses/trojans from computers and there's almost always another option that doesn't involve reformatting.

I know, but this one which i am talking about, whatever way you try, it will escape you with any Anti-Virus. I know it, because tried over dozens of Anti-virus softwares to remove it out, and the result was bed, because the softs were deleting the .exe files.

Both of you, please stop your two-way convo before the OP has a chance to reply to your suggestions and see if some of them actually works.

And Kenneth, reformatting really is the last of the last of options. One doesn't reformat a computer unless one has EXHAUSTED all other avenues. And to be honest, if you don't download anything from questionable sites, you are VERY LESS LIKELY to download the trojan virus anyway.

Not actually, that virus can attach itself even to e-mails, so not such an inoffensive type of virus.

Windows 7 is a 64-bit operating system and, as such, can have issues with some games designed for 32-bit operating systems. I don't know what the solution could be, but that could be the issue.

sorry for the late post. I have been extremely busy over the past few months. either way, I was able to download AND install it a few days ago. I sorta gave up then felt the urge to try again and have already beaten the game!!

Thx for the suggestions though, and I was able to do it without needing to change my computer at all!
