well one thing im bummed on is the sonnet. what do i have to do?

You have to complete a quest for Gregor, then use the reward he gives you and give it to someone else in Sedona. That person will then use the reward and eventually give you the Sonnet as thanks.

Hmm... i'm still stuck with the love sonnet. I gave the beggar guy the lute, and I was up to the point where his playing got good. How long do I have to wait until he ends up being in the castle?

You need to wait 15 minutes for him to get better at it.

remember you need to leave Sedona and return after the time is up (psst ... it's 10 minutes).

Eh, yeah, I got to the point until where he's good at playing, but he's still there every time I return... Better go do other stuff then...

You've paid him to play when he's good at it? If so, leave Sedona and go spend 10 minutes levelling up somewhere. When you come back after 10 minutes, he should be in the castle.

You'll need to wait twice to get the sonnet.

10 minutes is 10 minutes. You have to pay him to play, then come back to Sedona 10 minutes (or more) later. This is 10 minutes of game time - not closing the game and loading it again 10 minutes later, not going to the menu for 10 minutes, not hanging around in Sedona in front of him waiting for him to disappear. And you have to leave Sedona and re-enter via the Riven Forest path, not via the castle.


If you're absolutely certain that you've paid him 10 gold coins, he played well, and you came back to Sedona 10 minutes later and he's still there, please email me your save file, along with a link to this thread. We have had people before say they've waited 10 minutes and he's still there, and the moment they went to get a save file to send me, it was suddenly working.

I think it's very unlikely, but it's possible there's a bug somewhere, but nobody has ever been able to give me a file to check, to be sure one way or the other.



(edit - yes, after you give him the lute, it takes 10 minutes for him to be good. After you hear him play when he's good, it takes another 10 minutes for him to be great)

huh. intresting. about the bug i think a new build is needed though i havent done the sonet quest at all.

No one has caught the been able to reproduce the bug, so the admins can't fix it. That being said, a new build won't fix it.

Nobody can actually show us that there IS a bug, so it's probably wrong to call it that. Everyone who has attempted to provide a save file has gone back to Sedona and the beggar/bard was where he should be, indicating that there was NOT a bug.

We would likely not provide a new build just for this. At best, if it can be proven that there IS a bug and we can make a fix without requiring a new build, we would provide a patch file. But until we are shown that there IS a bug, we can't do anything about it, and we will assume it's not a bug, and just that the player has either not waited long enough, or has not followed the steps correctly.

that makes sense. i never done the quest so ill say that i agree with you shaz. maybe they arent patiant and more impatiant.

sorry for double posting but i have a warning for ones who have snails and what to marry lydia.

if you give the snail to lydia she with throw the snail at your face. ick! and scream ewwwww! and say how dare you! and the cupcake flying goes twords the wall if you the cupcake. but im still not sure if her attraction will stay the same or decrease.
