I found AV2 the weakest of the AV games. Even AP was better lol.

Even AP? AP was really fun, and it was brilliant for freeware.

@kirroha: About sudden burst of emotion. You said it's under "desperate situation" and included Rhen in your example. Anger =/= desperate situation. And I mention it because I'm too nitpicky for my own good. Moving on.

Re AV2: It IS boring. I play just for the sake of the gameplay. It's so boring that I didn't even bother making any crack business with it. No crackplot business usually means I'm not interested enough in the plot to crack it

AP sort of doesn't count coz I never finished it. The gameplay was confusing for me and I kept on dying, and it just got worse when I got my first skills because I can't tell apart between the monster attacking me and me activating the skill. It's just so annoying that I gave up on it.

O_O Since when are any of the Aveyond games played for the sake of anything but gameplay? If I wanted a detailed plot which amazing atmosphere I would go for Quintessence. (Which I do.)

Hey, I do too care about the plot. If I play just for the sake of playing and not caring about the plot beyond "knowing what I need to do next to proceed", it means the plot is such a suckage.

AV1= Okay, sort of.
AV2= zzzzzzzzzzzz
AV3= It's cool and would have been so much better if not for the total waitwhutwhy in the last two games.

Av2 has the feeling of being a lot more fairytaleish than the rest, so I understand why its plot was the least appealing. It seems more of the kind of story that would appeal to younger children.

Well, first, I'm not a new kid here, but yes I'm not as popular as anybody here (and I'm kinda forgetting this site for almost two years or more).

So, Hi, I'm Fuu. Back from my grave. Just finished playing all the AV3 game (LOT-DP). And here's my comment so far for all Aveyond and Ahriman's Prophecy game.

Well, we did start of from AP, where we met Ahriman the first time. Defeat it--or so we thought. And finished the game (with some glitch if we didn't marry Devin to anybody). Phew. My first thought when I finished it. Great, best free RPG ever (The Word Free always comes with Great ehehe). And so I had two kind of ending where Devin became the king of Thais, or Devin marry Talia--my favorite is DevinXTalia of course. Since, I'm fond on story (actually I'm a story commentator, so I'll say that Devin had more chemistry with Talia then with Alicia.

Then we arrived in AV1. Well, here we are with Rhen and Lars who had a very deep chemistry and so on, but didn't end together. Well, you do get a different ending in the build C (imagine to have to play the game three time before you could see them together), and in then end, although we finaly can pair up Rhen with Lars, the game didn't said that they end up together--it only said that they might be marry, but maybe not *Geez*. It did bug me so much that I write a novel inspired by this story (Even though it turns out that Lars Position is kinda in dangerous place now, since I made Daemon to be a lot of cool and charming guy(MUAHAHAHAHA-laugh of the girl who disapoint with Daemon design)--My work fans divide into two group one who support the green haired Ao aka Lars and other support the dark priest Diamond aka Daemon).
But seriously. How can Rhen end up with Daemon anyway? She always talk to Lars, she ask advise from Lars, and she fights with Lars. If I didn't buy the manor in Sedona, and change the leader to Daemon, I might never make these two guy speak (actualy I never make these two speak till I find out the true ending end decide to reload my game just to see where these two ever met and talk). Geez... Let's say that the game is good, the main plot story is good but all the ending were suck.

In the end I fantasize that Rhen didn't take her throne, and go with Lars, marry Lars, and when her father died, they were forced to go back to Thais since her father didn't have any heir.

And so Come AV2, the most boring game in AV series(I said this frankly since well it is boring). The only interesting part was when we met Our favorite vampire couple again. And hear Galahad tell his sad story (I can't help laughing at that part). Well, but there's nothing special in build A so we moved to build B, where we could get more exitment, not to count that you could take Nicolas and Gavin together (with a patch of course). Speaking about Nicolas--as you read above that I fantasize that Rhen and Lars wed. I think Nicolas get those mean attitude from Lars(Seriously Daemon is not that mean. Not to count that Uthar--as what Ava said--is much more worse then Nicolas. So it couldn't be Daemon. Since Daemon is too kind--he had been freed from Ahriman curse so he end up as a kind Sun Druid right?). Maybe his father marry a healer so he end up as healer, or maybe his mother marry a healer. After all, Rhen's was only his decendant, and nobody said anything about who her child is (considering both Uthar and Nicolas had a good long hair, I'd say, there's no way both of them are the great grand children of Daemon). So there's possiblity (everybody can dream right?). And there's Rye and Ema too. CUTE!!! My favorite canon in AV2. I like them more then Gavin and Ava.

The game story is nice too, even though in the beginning I keep wondering where the snow King goes? But well, maybe when Ishtar turn bad, her husband can't stand it anymore (just like when they debate about the existance of fairy) and leave. But the ending is kinda predictable, and thus makes me stop playing after I finished build B.

And here we go to AV3. Which were divided into four part. Well, I like Mel, I like Teijal, I like Galahad, I like Stella, but I really can't get myself to like Edward. I try okay, but being a girl who get my life from manga and dorama, I hate Edward just by seeing his face. Too plain for a prince.

So Things I don't like about Edward:

1. His hairstyle. Even Daemon is more stylish than that (yeah I don't like mohawk, but see... I can't really like a guy who's 18 years old, with a bob brunette hair). Just not my style. Ean and Lars had the best hairstyle for a guy so far, and as for prince I love Nicolas hairstyle, but I hate Edwards.

2. What the students said about him (if you walk around and talk to everybody, you'd found that some people said that Edward is pretty weak, he can't even swing his sword properly).

3. How he keeps bugging Mel. Seriously, people could see that Edward had his eye on Mel, but not Mel. I just can't see the plain and boring type of guy like Edward could be her suitor. He's suitable for Stella, yeah. Since compared to Edward, Stella is more timid and cute--so you could see who I pair him with in the end.

4. And after bugging Mel, for the half year Mel stayed in Thais, he dumped her just like that for Stella (you could see how he fall in love with the girl when they found her in the ruin--he just take the girl and left her alone in that place--yeah, talk about friend).

In the end the only part I like from Edward is his rebellious act.

Back to Topic, about Lord of Twilight. Man, how I stare at my PC like a dumb girl when the game end. I turn like, Huh? The End? What about the four key? What about Gyendal? What about Hepitus? WHAT?! I have to buy another new game?! This is just cruel. I spend hour to get to the ice castle, and it end with a cliff hanger. I could enjoy cliff hanger in stories (novel and so on), but just can't enjoy it when it means I have to get another new game. Oh well, it turn out that I love Galahad and Teijal too much to left this game untouch. (You do relised how little I talk about this first game, since well there's nothing to talk about. If it's a novel, this part is only an introduction, and we have to go to the main part to enjoy it, so yeah I got nothing to say).

And so the Main part is Gates of Night, where it turn out that Stella, is not just an ordinary plain boring moth. She made a good traitor too *evil laugh*. Not to mention we can finaly see what Teijal looks like when she was still human. pretty, and vicious, but I love her. Love her vampire version better, but can't hate her reaction when she first relised that she's human. Nice ending. Good amount of quest to feed me, and I like how it end up--I hate Lydia, to the point where I don't want to talk about her. And there's Ulf too. It's just cute--okay, you could say that I'm abnormal to call an orc cute, but hey, he's just too ugly that he break Lydia's Mirror--good Job Ulf. And yeah I pair Edward with Stella. Since I just can't see Mel as a woman who lived in a castle. Stella is more princess like so I marry her to Edward. Not to mention that if I didn't, she will be die--I didn't know that she'll still be alive in the next game.

I mean, can you imagine, Mel in a white weding dress, with Edward, and be a Queen. Her favorite food is rat. She's a former thief and she hate noble, she hasn't cure it in the game, so if she marry Edward she have to face all the noble she hate. I just can't see her like that. It'll make her life miserrable. Not to mention that we have to see her saying good bye to her orange ribon and wear a crown. NO CAN DO!!!


So I start the Lost Orb, with pride when I saw Lydia broke the wedding. Yeah right, so Lydia. And she plot to take over the kingdom (hey, in this time I wish Devin just marry Talia, and there'll be no Rhen, and no Edward). And then we open the new world where we can go back to the AP area. WOW. I miss you guys. How can you end up so far from Thais, when in AP, you didn't place that far. And met June (cute lil girl who keeps following Mel like her lil sister) and Yvete (shapeshifter--back to AP and Ean's Quest aren't we?).Oh, not to mention that it's very fun to read Teijal letter (She love smelling Galahad Boots!!! Can you imagine that??) And there's Gyendal! I know that Spook is Gyendal directly when he first give us our quil.

3 Reason why I notice Spook is Gyendal in the very beggining:
1. Gyendal went missing, with no trace, when he should be following Mel. In return Spook apear and he also following Mel. Something fishy.
2. He keeps urging Mel to leave her party. Come on, why should he, if he's not Gyendal.
3. When he finaly join the party, his avvie apear to be a black tied haired man. Gyendal also had a black tied hair.

And so there goes Gyendal pursuing Mel. And I LOVE THIS SHIP!!! Yeah, I'm one of the victim who cry when I relised that Gyendal didn't just take Mel as his GF. I mean, they're sweet together. Gyendal just know too much about Mel--giving her a rat tail and all. And even though Nox keep saying that Gyendal is pretty weak for a human--not really actualy. He got the same power as Mel. And Mel, who had the love potion splash on her (remember pirate John eh?), should be in love with him. She could either urging him to stop and be hers forever, and they'll live happily ever after as the King and Queen of Thief *kick the Thief lord away*, or Gyendal be the one who lure her to the darkness--opening the path to the DP (what I think that time). BUT NOOOO!!! IT DIDN'T GOES THAT WAY!!! GYENDAL REMAIN COLD HEARTED!!! AND MEL STILL GO WITH THAT EDWARD!!! WHY?! WHY?! WHY?!!!!

And then Mel were found (heart brokenly I think) alone--with Yvete and Ulf actualy--in Harakauna as the only human in that place (seriously, I can only say that she's that desperate to be dump by Spook so she decide to remain maiden forever). So heart broken that her level drop to only level 5 (GIVE ME BACK MY LVL.99!!!). Until finaly, Bibidi bobidi bo, it turn out Gyendal still love her that he send up her maid to fetch her to be his queen (Well actualy granpa in law to be told him to fetch her if he want to get his bless but we'll save this for later )--ah~~ the drama. And they'll live happily ever after with Granpa.

But hey it didn't swing that way ... Edward have to come with the dragon and the teacher. Why didn't anybody see that Edward is the main villain here??? He came with a dragon and two wizard. Saying that he have make a deal with the Empress of Veldarah, that in order to take HIS kingdom back, he gives "MEL" to SERVE the Empress. See, he wants to take back his kingdom from Lydia, but he get Mel involved (what did he mean by give her as a slave to the Empress????). Well, if I have to choose I'll choose Gyendal. WHY CAN'T HE LEAVE MEL ALONE ANYWAY?!!!

Fortunately, Mel is not that stupid. She can get him join the school too. And so goes the story.

Mel finaly can see Gyendal again (I bet she's very happy to see him in that cottage). It was a very romantic moment. Gyendal didn't want to free her anymore--guess he's that love sick. That when Mel--who had been heart broken, refused to follow him, he had to drag stella out (hey, I wonder if Gyendal had a feeling to Stella too). And so, seeing that Gyendal still had a feeling to her she then go with Gyendal (Yeah, this is how I see the drama, since considering Mel's personality, she's not that sacrificing herself, type of person. She's the type of, go die by yourself, you're not my bussiness type of girl--she's a street rat after all--so I believe she still love Gyendal, but her pride is too high to accept him again, so she only follow him when Stella--the moth--apear).

And so the journey begin. Edward goes with Stella to fetch Teijal and Galahad. The Happy couple who live in Sedona now *where Teijal can't get herself away from her husband boots LOL*. And then they try to save Mel, who by Great Granpa in Law being sent to the Demon Realm (I seriously thought that Morthrep is Ahriman at first)--to train as a good bride for Gyendal I think. and Uma and Nox appear. YAY!!! THE YIN YANG TWINS!!! Long story short, she cames back as an evil Mel--the dark bride training had success I think, I bet Gyendal found her really pretty that time, but unfortunately, Gyendal is too impation, so the Love quarel apear, and Mel decide to throw Gyendal into jail to clear his mind.

Well, Edward being unhappy with the evil Mel had to cure her with Stella, so when they came back Great Granpa In Law get furious and then the final battle begin with Gyendal then getting thrown to Demon Real. NOOO!!!

In the end I still choose Stella as Edward bride.Why? Because Mel ending is more amusing that way!!!

Mel met the noble Lars the eight. LOL. LARS THE EIGHT?! EH?! LARS THE EIGHT?!!! LARS?!!! According to my fantasy Lars is married to Rhen, so why there's Lars the eight???
Ans: Rhen marry Lars when they're still teacher in Shadwood. They have kids, and Lars name one of them Lars the Second (the ending didn't said any Tenobor or Pendragon as Lars last name so there're reallly a possibity). So, if it's according to my fantasy, Lars the eight is Edward's cousin.

btw, WHY DIDN'T THIS GUY APPEAR??? I miss Lars, and I really hope he would appear and became a new party member. I really did search all veldarah to find Lars *after I finished the game once* but I never find him. Sight ... That Greenie Head!!! So, anybody find Lars in Shadwood??? All I find is the pesky Senior.

Okay I talk too much, but I've been missing for years too. So you have to pardon me

I just don't get the hate for AV2. It's a beautiful game with a fairytale story and the best environments in any Aveyond game. It had a polished interface and, outside of a few AV3 novelty characters (Yvette, Yemite, Uma, and Nox; there's no arguing that any of these characters were crucial, and their only purpose was to include more interesting characters), the best party members. And while it may have a more 'boring' storyline than the others, it succeeds in being more effective. AV3's storyline was terrible after the first two chapters, and AV1's and AP's storylines were both subpar epic-fantasy-generic. AV2 had a storyline that, while not exactly memorable, essentially worked. I think it deserves more recognition.

And about Edward, nah ... I just hate him from the time TLO begin. But I love Teijal and Galahad, and I definetly love Aveyond. But not Edward. Just ... well ... don't like him (even before I saw Spook--thus I never pair him with Mel).

The vampires probably just continued with their lives.

It's not like Gyendal's really that important in the village. In TLO and TDP, when we pop by Ghed'ahre the vampires were all, "Ohey, Gyendal's missing. Whatever, moving on."

i like the villans live a short time in the game because i hate seeing them pop up over and over and over again.
