It's an incomplete plot twist. It will make more sense.
Well, you're half-right there, in my opinion. It's rather unnecessary and a bit stupid. But I'm certain it has some purpose.

I honestly just don't see how it'll work. Aren't Sophie and Josh supposed to be humani? If their parents are Elders then they should be Next Generation. And that's besides all of the rest of the problems. The author had better have a really amazing explanation.

Isis and Osiris could be pretending to be their parents. After all, Tsaglalal (so fun to say!) isn't their aunt.
Besides, they aren't necessarily humani. Remember, they aren't the first Sun and Moon Twins. They're the reincarnation of two powerful beings, likely Great Elders, Elders, or at least Next Generation. ![]()

Whatever else, this is the desperate kind of cliffhanger made to sell books, and it's one of the worst cases of it.

I like that sort of thing, actually. It's just that the writer is sort of overdoing twists and surprises, and it's getting annoying.

Have every one tried "Septimus Heap: Magykal Papers"?

I haven't yet, but I might. I've got to finish Darke first, though.

I'm nearly halfway through Darke now. It's good, but I've got a couple of problems at this point. Chief of those: Snorri is written out of the series. And we only hear about it in one sentence.

Okay, don't say anything else about it. I'm presently rereading Children of the Lamp before reading the Five Fakirs of Faizabad, and then I'm going to reread the other 5 Sepimus books.

Please stop telling people what to discuss. If iPink wants to talk more about the book, then she can choose to do so. If you don't want to read spoilers about the book, that's fine. Just skip over iPink's post about it. You have no right to dictate what other's post about.

I know that, Mopiece. I'm fine with her dscussing the book. I'm just asking her to put mentions of things actually in the book in SPOILER text, like this.

There is a difference between telling people to not talk about something and asking them to put it in white text. In the above post, you told her to stop talking, not put it in white text.

Oh, I'm sorry about that. I didn't really think it was much of a spoiler considering it was stated in a single aside sentence. I've put it in white text now.

@Mopiece - I'm sorry I was unlear, then.
@iPink - That's okay, you didn't even kow I hadn't read the book . I would just prefer that you put that sort of thing in spoiler text.

That's kin of funny, Meroko. Magykal Papers isn't really volume 6, though. It's sort of a side book to explain tings in the series. Like the Demigod Files.

@Meroko: The first one isn't the best. I think the fifth one and the third one were the best. I liked the fourth one the least, and while I enjoyed the second, I can't even remember quite what it was about. This sixth one is turning out like the fourth: good, but not the best.

Meroko, click the link you just offered. Then select 'Manuscriptorium' and mouse over Darke. Read the title.
