Read this while listening to "what a wonder world" by louis armstrong.
http://www.mangafox.com/manga/hotel/ it's awesome and touching. And only 41 pgs. Oh, and its G-PG rating.

@KTC
That was a really nice touching story even though it had a bittersweet endings. Playing the "What a Wonderful World" song really gets you into the feel of the story ![]()

Oh my gosh, that was amazing, KTC. It's great to get a manga recommendation that's not a typical shoujo/shounen nowadays.

My friend recommended it the other day. I was amazed how in only 41 pgs the mangaka was able to communicate a story that touching.

Hotel was very interesting. Impressive. I find it slightly hard to believe that a robot can actually have feelings, but I could put that aside. It was sad and touching, even though there were barely any character interaction. It was just a whole lot of narration, but the author executed it well.
---------------------------------- Oh, I stumbled across a manga called Private Prince. I came up by it with the "surprise me" choice in mangareader. Since the Royal Wedding just happened, I read it for the lolz. It just goes to depress me about the shoujo romance genre even more. Who cares if the man is a perverted selfish jerk. He's a hot and sexy guy and very good in bed! It's all that matters! It started off as the usual "girl hates guy because he's a jerk". How did the girl falls in love with the guy? Because the guy seduced her, was very good at sex (apparently), and helped her a bit and hot? Seriously, I don't know why the heck are they in love *scratches head* Pffft...And I don't understand why I still read those kind of junk even though I know they're bad and I constantly pitch a fit about them ![]()

Just finished reading all 205 chapters of D.Gray-Man, and it's so far my favorite manga.
It started of with a somewhat cliche plot line (good guys vs. bad guys, with one good guy 'prophesied' to be 'the One' who will destroy the bad guy boss), but have more twists as the story goes on.... I actually prefer this kind of storyline than one with no clear plot but keeps on adding twists/questions/mysteries and no definite answers that the story becomes jumbled up (like Pandora Hearts).

@Rogue
DGM is one of my favourite manga, too! In fact, I place it second only to xxxHOLiC. It's one of those shounen series that doesn't quite slip into cliche storylines and dragged out plots. It has its flaws, namely that it's hard to follow at times (in part, due to the art), but in general I like it a lot. Kudos to you for reading all 205 chapters so quickly, though! I'm attempting to catch up with Naruto and Bleach and it's proving to be....difficult. @all Currently re-watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood while taking a break from some of the other series I've been watching. I'm still keeping up with the new Gintama series, as well as C, though. Anyone else?

DGray Man... Looks interesting. It has interesting outfit designs, that one for sure.
@Aeternus: Good luck on Bleach and Naruto. I'm attempting to do the same, but is failing hard so far. I managed to get far enough with Bleach, but I'm borderline ditching it because I disliked Ichigo, buuuut... The rest of the cast are quite interesting.

Well, if a manga have 50+ volumes, of course it's bound to be hard to catch up. D.Gray-Man have like 20+, so it's easier (plus, my school library have almost all the volumes, and since I live nearby... even easier)

Guah! I can't resist anymore!
I found out Steins Gate and Ao no Exorcist in other hand. You might knew about Ao no Exorcist, so- Steins Gate, another project by Nitroplus. A sci-fi about how the main protagonist and his group went investigate a phone microwave which could send mails to the past. Time travel, really...or maybe not. Involves a self proclaimed time traveler John Titor. Not much, but it goes to my spin well. You might try to watch the anime ![]()

Hello~. @people discussing D. Gray Man: I'm actually cosplaying Lenalee in an upcoming Con...speaking of which, why does everyone I meet who watches/reads DGM hate her? D: I think she's pretty awesome-tastic.

@M0n0chr0me: I don't hate Lenalee, if that helps, but I can't say I really like her either. Anyways, the ones I hate are Allen & Kanda- wonders why people loves them.

Ao no exorcist: Shall I blame cons for its sudden boom of popularity? The whole person is part-demon/youkai/inhuman creature and either defends them to no end (like Youkai Doctor) or becomes someone who hunts them. This manga is the latter. The first few chapters didn't impress me so I just left it alone.
I just stumbled across this manga called Wolf Guy. It's about a werewolf boy and... I can't tell what the plot is supposed to be about. He saves a school teacher from a gang fight then by chance transferred to this school where the teacher he saved works at. ETc etc etc. The werewolf myth is bleh, I have no bloody idea what they're trying to convey, and the predictable "romance" between the teacher and the werewolf is annoying me to no end. Oh, and the manga contains violent gore and rape scenes. Which is a bit too much because they're almost pointless violence just because. I know they're supposed to give a sense of distress and gravity to the situation, but it comes of as gratuitous. Black Bird: WHY DO GIRLS FANGIRL OVER THIS MANGA??? The male love interest is about as creepy and perverted as Gyendal is!!! Oh wait, that's what fangirls do. Never mind. It's almost exactly like Twilight. The girl is hunted down by various youkai clan because she is the special maiden whose blood can give youkai strength. She is special. Her supposed love with her boyfriend is creepy an abusive. Bla bla bla. Seriously, this girl cries like every other page or so. The guy is a creep and a pervert. Hooray! It's not horrible at all. And I just got off Film Brain's department in TGWTG.com, which is why I sound like Film Brain right now. Hi.

I'm currently watching The Daughter of Twenty Faces. I only have a few episodes left, which makes me sad, as the manga is not licensed in English and there seems to be no scanlations of it. So unless I learn to read Japanese, I wont be able to read the manga.
Anyway, it's summary according to TVtropes: The Daughter of Twenty Faces [...] is a action/mystery anime show [...] based on the manga of the same name by Shinji Ohara[...]. The focus of the story is Chizuko "Chiko" Mikamo, a young girl who desires to get away from her home [...] and leaps at the chance when international Gentleman Thief "Twenty Faces" comes to "steal" her. Abandoning her old life, she learns the way of proper cat burglary from Twenty and his merry band of men, and eventually must come to terms with Twenty's legacy and her position as The Daughter Of Twenty Faces. [...] (I)t is derivative from a work of classic detective fiction. It's pretty good, actually. It takes place in the 1950's (ish) after WWII (or, a war of that caliber). I've never really watched/read any anime/manga like this, so I've been pleasantly surprised. Though, I liked the first episodes the best- the series changed directions after the first few episodes. While it's still good, I did like the first episodes better. I'd still like to get my hands on that manga though. I guess I'm just going to have to learn to read Japanese. Man, I'm in trouble.

"Nijuu Minsou no Onna" sure is good, Ash. But the very first episodes are a bit boring though, but still the following ones are interesting...
