I don't think it helps, but it makes you feel better, Which in a way is better... :D

For me it helps lots because it warms up my stomache and its liquid which goes down good. It is also very tasty.

I remember when I had pneumonia, the only thing I could/would eat was chicken and stars soup. And popsicles.

Usually, if I just have a cold, I don't eat anything special. Though when it's a bad cold I do tend to eat chicken noodle soup.

If I have a sore throat, I usually alternate between broth or tea and popsicles, depending on what makes my throat feel better at the time.

If it's a stomach thing, the only thing I will eat is applesauce.

And I drink lots and lots of fluids. And declare medicine my new best friend.

i eat the same thing even if i am ill, rice or pizza. My mom insists soups, she said that the heat will make me recover fast, but i think soups are only for those who have trouble digesting or eating their foods.

I drink a tea made by boiling minced ginger and dried tarragon...

I absolutely LOVE soup! I eat soup sick or not, lol.
But I prefer vegetable soup better when I'm sick.

I've never heard of tarragon, is that a herb? I've heard of oregano though.

I eat c.soup but it's good though.

@Ashen - Popsicles make your throat feel better? o.o' You're right about applesauce though! It does help ease stomach aches and the like. Besides, I love apples XD
@ elonah - Yeah, but soups can be had as a normal diet too, when you don't feel like having anything heavy. And yup, the heat makes one feel a wee bit better ^^
@ Fish - Hot ginger tea helps a lot, although I don't know about tarragon ^^' It's even better if you use honey and/or lime along with the ginger.
@ melody - You're right, tarragon is a herb ^^ It had pretty thin leaves and dried tarragon would look like thin brown sticks (from a distance). You can search it on Google Images ^^

I don't really like chicken soup that much, but I like veggie soup. Roasted Red Pepper Soup is one of my faves.

I don't eat a lot when I'm sick. I just lie around and think, "I should eat something, but I'm lazy." and then I don't eat. When I'm sick and I do eat, though, I tend to eat eggs- they're easy on the throat and they're warm.

Chicken soup is good for health and everything but i just don't Or i can say i just can't stand it's smell!
