Niblusse followed the sound which seemed to be coming from the nearby area.

He could now clearly hear the sound--the sound of a boy and a woman.

There, he hid and let his eyes feast upon what he had just sighted--a demongelle*!

[*demongelle=the offspring of a demon father and an angel mother]

((I heard that kind of word in a manga...so yeah.))

((Could you just call me a half-half? Demongelle just sound strange XD Has anyone seen iPink? She didn't write a single message.))

Angelo narrowed his eyes. The demon was hard to him. She didn't trust him, nor did he her. "Somebody who doesn't anything to hide would show his true form. Even if now I'm hiding my wings, I did it to get easier away from the ones following me. And if we all don't get out of her quick, they'll get us."

He threw a last look behind him, then run in the opposite direstion. "As powerfull as you may be demon, you won't resist to more than 3 angels so better follow me somewhere safe."

Safarina scoffed. Who was this halfling to try and lecture her? "It is easier to blend in with this form. My true form is too large for a confined space such as these sewers- and you know how some humans tend to overreact when they see something unusual..." Rinne retorted, then remembered their human companion, turned to the latter and said, "No offence, dearie..."

The demon then turned to look back as she sensed another presence. A human boy, this time. Rinne gave a sigh, then proceed to ignore him and called to the half-and-half instead. "By the way, what makes you think I can't handle 3 angels? I may not be strong, but fighting does not rely on strength alone."

Angelo sighed. "It may not, but even you have limits. I know mine. If we three would fight together, we could resist to those angels, but why wasting our energy? Sometimes, the best thing to do is to run. Now is one of those moments."
He heard some foot steps behind him. They were getting closer. "Please, the time is short. We'll talk more in the sewers, but for now..." He just made a quick move of the head, showing the direction. His waiting time was already over. He didn't want to get some wounds just because the demon wanted to show her strength.

Chiisare nodded at the woman's added remark, accepting that she was one of the few who knew how to reign emotions. Her cheer was facade, after all.

"I would prefer we follow him," she said quietly, laugh apparent in her voice, and ran after him, years of agility helping her.

Rinne narrowed her eyes at the human girl and stared at her sharply before finally nodding. She could have made a good actress... the demon mused silently as she made move to follow the half-and-half. But no matter how good her facade, the human failed to hide her thoughts- and it was easy for the illutionist to find out what the former was really feeling.

Swiftly catching up the two with several long strides, Rinne relayed her earlier thoughts to Chii, "Nice job putting up an innocent facade back there. You might consider being an actress if this war is over..."

Chiisare grinned ruefully. "Heh, acting's okay. But I guess it gets old after a while. The thrill, the knowledge, the adventure - it's so fake. I want it to be real. I guess I'm planning to become a hermit or hunter. Get knowledge about the worlds. I'd either be a traveller."

She sighed. "I don't know anything except acting, speed, hunting, and math. I'm not good at anything else...I want to be better. Worthwhile. Get a nice guy. But you can't have everything..." she went silent.

Angelo, turned with the face to the entrance of the sewers and not to the girls' faces, still could get their feelings. I don't trust the demon at all, but I think the girl is more trustable.
"You don't like you skills, but now's the moment when you'll actually need them. Think about it," he said, tuning face-to-face with the girls. "Acting will get you out of harsh situations, speed will help you escape. Hunting will get you food. And math,... I guess you could say it's a bonus." He made a soft smile at his own joke, then the next second, it was gone. "But, no, you really can't have everything." I know it from experiences. He continiued, but not aloud.

Chii put a finger to her lips and said thoughtfully, "Aren't you a perceptive one...well, I suppose they will. You're right...that's what Yani would've said..." she said the last part more quietly - her demonic best friend was a great help - and she resembled this half's ideas. Based on her, even, she started to like the half more.

"Well...I wonder where the last human is. Che, so slow...we might as well hurry up. Ally or not, we can't all risk getting caught, now, can we?" She gave a humorless giggle.

"Right.." said Angelo a bit dreamy. "Let's hurry to the sewers. I can see them coming. And they aren't 3, they're about 10. Hurry, they aren't far." He could aready spot the entrance. It was almost fully covered by derbis, but it was still usable. The rusty bars that guarded it's entrance would take some time to remove, about a few seconds, but they may be fatal. Angelo accelerated, so he could have extra time to remove the bars.

Niblusse` followed that Demongelle to the sewers thinking, "What's the business with him?"

Chiisare followed the half, seeing the entrance, just barely. She squinted and accelerated, trying not to let the ten behind them catch up. How she longed for a machine gun...she'd steal it off.

"Ugh, debris..." she muttered, brushing dust off her shoulders, and walking to the entrance, hauling out the demolished material to clear the way. "Well? Help me."

"Coming."Angelo said to the girl. She somehow run faster than him until the drebis and already started cleaning them. He grabed a stone from the entrance and continiued with the rest of them. "Where's the demon woman?" he asked the girl. Getting a bit nervous, he thought that maybe the woman stopped and was now fighting the enemies. If it were that case, then she was unwise to make such a choice.

"Oh -" she cursed violently and somewhere in an alternate universe made a sailor blush. "She might be catching up. Hopefully, her concealing skills are up to date -" she double checked, and saw nothing but darkness. "Dammit. I guess we'll go up, then. I know she can at least hold her own. She's strong."

Rinne suddenly appeared, seemingly out of thin air, in the midst of the group, a smirk playing on her lips. "Why, miss me already?" she asked jokingly at no one in particular. "I was here the whole time. I merely removed my presence from your thoughts. And no, I'm not that foolish to fight ten experienced soldier single handedly" she stated, addressing Angelo now.

The illutionist then turned to the human girl, "I wouldn't call my skill 'concealing', young one," she explained, "Since, technically, I'm not even hiding my physical body. I did not turn myself invisible- where some people could still sense my presence from touch, smell, hearing, or some other ways. I merely remove my existence from what the brain perceive from those senses- so that even though I was yelling at you earlier, you probably won't realize it."

So it looks like she can even read minds. If she really can, then she'll get this too: Demon woman, please respect our privacy. I, and I think the girl too, don't like someone looking through their thoughts. He thought all these as he cleared the last part of the derbis. "Sorry to say it then, but what you say lacks sense. If you actually removed yourself from our thoughts, that means we just imaged what was behind you?" Just then, an idea struk Angelo: "If you can make yourself desapperar from our minds, then can you make all three of us desappear from the soldiers minds? That would make things a lot easier."
