Not sure what you mean by him being not evil enough. If trying to darken the world and enslave humanity is not evil then I don't know what qualifies as evil to you Sitting around doing nothing while evil minions do the job? Coz that's what all the other Aveyond villains prior to Gyendal do.

By the way, it's a shame that a whole lot of the things that happen off-screen never got brought to light. Amanda said a whole lot of incidents throughout LOT to GON happened because Gyendal made them happen. I reckon the pirate problem is one of them (if it is, just goes to show you how much power/connection Gy actually has, don't ya think?). Not sure how many more problems are Gyendal's fault, but at least now I know he didn't spend those months sitting around doing nothing and watch Mel on Stellavision. Wouldn't we have LOVED to know what was going on? I know I do!

Makes me wonder if he actually did more stuff than what we know of in TLO and TDP.

1) You kinda have to go to places to achieve a goal. You know, NOT sitting down and do nothing but expect things to happen. If he doesn't appear, that kinda means he's NOT DOING ANYTHING USEFUL

2) How would YOU like it if chickens get to rule the world and we have to live in underground cities? This whole fiasco is the exact same thing. From a vampire's perspective, the whole enslavement thing makes perfect sense. That aside, Gyendal is EVIL. Enslaving humans is no big deal for him. You yourself admit that enslavement is so cruel, so why do you say that Gyendal is not evil enough?

3) Gyendal is not the only person who has that kind of eye shape. Why is it a big deal? It's like me having big problems with Mel's sorcerer robes because it's downright ugly.

Looks like your reason for disliking Gyendal is about the same as my reason for disliking Edward/Mel pairing: personal taste. Personal taste is not a valid argument. We can debate and state our points for all of eternity and not reach a conclusion.

its one thing to pop up every once in awhile but constantly i dont really like. the kidnaping mel thing thing kinda got old in mel's perspective like she knows what is being dished everytime they meet... a battle or kidaping. if gyendal only popped up only 2 times per book instead of 5 times per book.

You just have a different preference. Again, it's like how I dislike the multitude of Edward/Mel interaction simply because I dislike that pairing and it's annoying as heck for me.

You know, I have to wonder why Mel didn't lose all her memories while Galahad did. She STILL remembered Uma. Nox, I understand, because Nox appeared before TDP, but Uma only appeared in Demon Realm. If Mel could remember HER, who knows what else she could actually remember? Maybe she actually didn't lose any memories and just faking it because she's ashamed of what she did to all those kings and queens. And whatever kinky stuff she did to Gyendal while he's in the dungeon.


In my fanon that happened because Mel is part-demon and that tiny tiny little bit of demon in her prevented her from getting as corrupted as Galahad did. Can't corrupt what's already "dark and evil", right?

Yes, it is true. Mel is canoned to be with Lars the VIII. Well the number maybe wrong, but she is with a guy named Lars.
