I'm trying to make an underworld... not working out, dunno how... help please!

Right, with what do you need help? Mapping or finding a suitable tileset for the map? (or something else?)

If it's the first, then can you post a screenshot of what you already got?

Zanyzora has a Hell tileset. (The autotiles are also on the site there.)
Here you can find the Aveyond 2 tilesets. (Some of them can be used as Underworld tilesets)

save them on your pc, where you have the rtp.

Yes, save them on your PC (doesn't have to be where the RTP is). Then click on materials and add them to tilesets.

they don't work on the RPG maker XP.. my character can walk on a house.... pretty sure that's not supposed to happen...

What you're downloading is not the tileset itself - it's just the image for the tileset. When you import a tileset image like this, you still have to go through manually and set all the passabilities, priorities, bush and counter flags, and all those other things.

And when you're doing your mapping, make sure you use the top left "empty" tile when you need to erase. If you choose any other tile just because it's blank, you could end up with passability issues like this. (For this reason, I like to colour in all the "unused" tiles so it's very obvious if I accidentally use one of them)
