Thats okay, you can skip a day once in a while. Its all good.

I just wrote my first 208 words. It's no great progress, but it's a start, and I'm still working. I have no illusions that it's great writing, but I'm not going to agonize it. Supposedly the first chapter always gets cut anyway. XD

We've all been pretty quiet the last few days. Hopefully that means everyone has been writing away.

I haven't been doing so well, and I'm about ready to chuck this story and start over. Maybe I'll just do a series of short, interconnected stories about the world instead of a full novel. I have a write-in with my group tonight, so we'll see how things turn out. Maybe I can salvage something with this story, or get a spark for a new one.

Unfortunately, I've been been quiet because I've been having trouble myself. Lately it seems whenever I try and write, -something- happens that needs my attention. Blargh.

And I was so excited about Nano too...

Sometimes Nano is hard to stay with, because we often set goals that are unrealistic, and then we are hard on ourselves for not achieving perfection. I have met my goals so far, and have made 30,000 words as of tonight. But every person is different, and writes at a different speed. Don't be hard on yourself, just try to enjoy writing your story,and if you make your goal of 50,000 words, wonderful. If you don't, it will still be good because you have started actualizing your story. Soon the tale will emerge from the idea, so don't give up. Try to write even when you don't feel like writing. something positive will happen!

I was stuck at 2000 words but I'm finally done with the info dumping. I've reached 2800 in 15 minutes and I think I'll catch up to Nano

I think that's going to be my next trick to catch up. I've got a few backstories I can throw in to pad things a bit.

Can I put in my own poems while travelling like in Lord of the rings? (Completely out of ideas and poetry is in my head today)

Yes! Word count is word count! Go for it!

Soo.... I totally failed on my Nano. (In part because my work hours doubled. But mostly because stupid personal reasons that included me thinking that everything I write is garbage and needs to be thrown away. ^^; Oh well.)

How did everyone else do?

I just barely managed my word count this year! But I did it! Editing other author's work ate into my writing time, but what wonderful books I have been working on! I love editing as much as I love writing. The wonderful books that I have been priveleged to work on this last month are amazing.

So happy! I ended with 53,231 words, and the book is about 1/2 way done. So I feel fairly good. It needs to be finished, and then it needs to be read by a beta-reader, and then it will have to be re-written. But so far it is on track and will be what I want it to be!

Ooh, A writers club? Can I join? I'm currently writing Wicked: A Witches Tale, and I did some poetry too...

This basically has turned into an open club. Anyone can be part of it now.

If we have time, we could have some write or die contests or word/page wars. =D

I completely, miserably failed my NaNo. I was super excited about it, but then I never managed to find the right place to start... I guess I'm just not in a creative part of my life right now. Congrats to those who did manage it all!

I failed badly too. 4000 words only. But I've got a start and have even managed to get my plot developed. I've managed to write a 1000 words in the last two days and the story is just flowing. SO I guess that's a positive

Managed to get around 6000 words this year. I was in exams and was busy preparing on school's event.

Maybe November was a lot of business, but I want to continue, whether as a novel or vn. :3
