I got a demo of something and the game file says it cannot be opened because it's made with an old version of RMXP. The RTP code is RTP 104 instead of 102, if that's any help. I managed to play the game by changing that, but the game project file is still inaccessible.
Help?

What is the game? If it's a commercial game that you want to pull apart to examine, that can't be discussed here. Depending on who the creator is, they may be open to "how did you do that ..." type of questions though.

Nope, it's a demo. The game file and everything else are sitting there in the folder. The only problem is that I cannot open the game file.

try backing up the .rxproj file, then copy one in from one of your own projects. Don't replace any of the other files but this one. I recall one of the demos we provided, we had to replace that file so people wouldn't get the "wrong maker" error.
