@Ivana: What do you meant by the first and last 'stroke's? Anyway, my laptop doesn't work that way. If I want to type Chinese, I set the language bar into 'Chinese', then type in the Han You, and it will provide a list of characters with that han you from which you can select from.

@Ivana: Ditto Rogue. I set my language bar to Chinese, type the Hanyou/Pinyin, then they give me a list of the possible characters.

Lol Chinese isn't the same as English, the words are constructed by what we call 'strokes'. I use Chok Sing (速成 ), since it's much easier because you only type the 2 strokes. Like example, you want to type "if" (但 ), you type the left-side of the word which is from the 'person' part [(人 )的部首], then the last stroke is a horizontal line or 'one' (一 ), just type those 2 and you can choose the word.

Here's what our keyboard looks like btw. As you see, you type 'o' and 'm' to type out 'if'.

Yes, I know that Chinese characters are constructed by strokes, but it's just that since we don't have the Chinese keyboard, we have a different method of input-ing those characters onto screen. So if we want to write say, star (星), we would set our language bar into Chinese then key in "xing", and that character, along with several others with the same pinyin would show up in a list, from which we could select which to use.

Just downloaded a free Ren'py game called "(P)lanets". It's a one-woman-show production, so I thought I'd give it a go to see how far I can get without anyone's assistance. The Fantasia series had made use of a lot of free stock images. This one supposedly is all done by the creator, so... Yeah.

I still want that Pirates In Love otome game. It's haunting me, man. It's haunting me. I don't have iPhone or Android, and it's such an epic waste of money to go buy those stuff JUST to play that game. It doesn't work on iPad (YOU SUCK, VOLTAGE) so I can't even buy it for the iPad that is already lying around back home.

Anyone ever heard of "Tales of the Drunken Paladin"? I made a thread for it a loooong time ago, but it's kinda dead now. Well, all info in that thread. Check it out. I had fun playing it. For a one-man-show game, it's epic. Can't even begin to understand how the guy found the way to do half of the things in there. A slot machine, man. HOW DO YOU MAKE THAT IN VX???

Anyway, I don't really play visual novels anymore- especially if it's a dating Sim. It usually gets boring after a while, and I always use walkthroughs/cheats to collect all the endings, and delete the game afterwards.

Yeah, made by just one person. Possibly some stock music are used, but other than that is programmed and drawn by one single person.

Well a single person who does everything can produce a smashing game!

Well, I'm recovering from the trauma ME3 has inflicted on me. Still haven't touched any of the ME series and looks warily at all of them.

I have however farmed a bit on Borderlands and got some nice upgrades. I love rapid fire sniper gun.

Preliminary scans of the maps proved correct: Game doesn't have custom coding so it's easy to manip compared to APv2.

Compared to APv1, they are the same since both use standard systems.

A blurred line is an awesome game. Really enjoyed it. Pity the series was never completed though

Anyone ever heard of "Extra Credits"? It's this web video series about various issues in the world of games. It's really fun and entertaining, and informative too. They also give pointers on game design sometimes, so would be great for those who are trying to make games.

This episode on bad writing is hilarious. They also have this series on comparisons between JRPGs and Western RPG. Based on that series, Aveyond seems to count in the JRPG genre even though it's not made in Japan *shrug* Fun watch.
