Anonymous Agony is a commercial video game focusing on dark, realistic themes. It will be distributed online in an episodic manner. It's setup like a television show, and it will be very heavy on story.





Haze and Clara don't have the best parents in the world, between their regular drug dealings, and other shady activity, but despite this, Haze and Clara go on living. Haze, an eighteen year old punk just starting starting to grow up holds a deep bitterness for the world as well as his parents. He tries to protect his sister from the evil in the world he has experienced first hand. Clara, a ten year old girl just starting middle school that's very grown up for her age spends most of her free time online chatting with friends.

One day, Haze returns home to find that his younger sister has been raped, Haze discovers soon after that it was by a person she had been talking to online. After much strife, Clara is sent to a mental hospital to recover, Haze begins using his sister's online screen name to lure out other internet predators in hopes of, in his own way, getting revenge on the world.

Anonymous Agony follows the parallel Stories of Haze and Clara.
As Clara heals and heads towards eventual recovery, Haze heads towards his own downfall.

Haze is very sarcastic and condescending he always speaks in a superior tone, unless he's talking to his sister Clara. He's usually disrespectful and rude.

"Well pops, you seem like one of the decent ones. But I still don't care to ever see your face again, do take care though, I mean it, I really do."

Clara is a spunky, smart 10 year old girl. She's impressively mature for a child, and regularly gets mad
at Haze for his mean attitude.

Craig

Craig is an older middle aged police officer, he's tired and short most of the time, but is still a good guy. He lives a few houses down from Haze.

"You asked me why I was a cop, why I tried to "play fair" in a world that doesn't. I'm a cop because... I'd rather fight an impossible battle than surrender to a damning world."

I must say that your game looks very interesting, I have never seen this so serious style in a RPG Game, I mean... putting a lot of real life elements into it. Looking foward to know more, by the way.... which engine are you using ot make the game?

Keep updated, the first episode will be free to download and play in about a month! I'll be adding screenshots very soon as well.

I'm using RPG Maker VX, though heavily modified with scripts to support the portraits and various other things.

I agree with DS. I haven't seen a project like this before either. I'm looking forward to seeing some more of it ^^

I think that this one is wonderful! It's not every day you find a game like this. The soundtrack is pretty good, and the storyline is definitely amazing. At first glance, it seems a bit too dark - at second, it seems oh so down to earth, realistic, and also kind of heart warming, how Haze decides to choose his downfall in contrast to his sister's recovery. I like the internet chatting reference - after all, thousands of girls have this dilemma. I'm definitely going to play this.

wow! The first line of the summary really caught my attention. I like it how the plot is set in our present time/futuristic ^^ I can sense lots of themes present in the game, and hope to play it!

Stunning OSTs btw Mind's Decay totally got my brain warped. I started getting dizzy all of a sudden... Is that just me? XD
