I just logged in to Pottermore. What am I supposed to do in there? I am confused!!!

@KTC: It really isn't all that great. And honestly, Chamber of Secrets should have been released by now. You'd think with all of the resources behind it they could have managed to get Pottermore open and expanded in time. >.<

@D_A: And click on random objects (candle, candy, cards, etc.) to hoard in your chest.

You can also click on pixels that will zoom you into the scene and zoom out though there's no help on locations of said pixels.

Mwahahaha... allow me to explain.

First, you need to read chapters up till the Sorting Hat. DO NOT collect anything in the previous chapters beforehand as you get to win House Points when you collect items BUT NOT IF YOU'RE NOT SORTED YET. Next, DO NOT buy anything other than is strictly necessary at Diagon Alley, not until the bigwigs at Pottermore figure out when is a good time to give us another handout. After that, you can go back to the older chapters and look for purple glowy thingies for extra info on the series and/or useless junk and/or ingredients for Potions (hence saving you a bomb instead of restocking at the Apothecary). Best of all, the potion ingredients that can be found (not all can though, so you'll still need to splurge a bit at the Apothecary if you're a hardcore potion brewer) will regenerate again once your inventory of said ingredient is zero. Finally, WIN HOUSE POINTS! You can do that either by picking up the aforementioned useless junk, successfully brewing potions, or winning inter-House duelling.

That's the five-minute tutorial on the basics of Pottermore. Ta!

I only like reading the new information. The potion-making and other minigames are kinda stupid to me. So I'm not likely to get back on until they release the next book.

@iPink: Same here. I used to collect points by duelling, but until they unlock new spells (which probably comes from the next book), I'm not coming back. I'm seriously bored with Petrificus Totalus.
