(for Korra and Mako) They are defiantly sugar and spice. Opposites. One is hard to impress and barely ever enjoys fun things (from what I can draw from the first 5 episodes). The other likes burping contests, scaring people with her polar bear dog (again from first 5 episodes), and I think showing off.

I do think Bolin and Korra are perfect cause similar interests like burping contests.
