You could possibly hurt yourself though if you don't hold the gun the right way when you shoot.

Yeah the teachers also told me that >_>
Actually, I've only knew the correct position when I've join a one-day shooting activity in our school. But when I got there, I've realised I've actually known how to handle the gun from my old "training". >_> But still, I've searched on yahoo answers and they said you can join a shooting club when you're 18+!!! >_< Darn it.

Yeah, well as long as you handle it correctly you won't get hurt. But there are some shooting ranges that will let you shoot if you have your parent with you.

I think it depends on the shooting range. The one by my place only costs 10 to shoot and that's for adults.
Now that I think of it on the laws of where you live.(I know in the US, shooting ranges laws differ from state to state).

Hmm, we learned some shooting on our confirmation camp
So we could start some school massacre -stuff here in Finland too (it was 6 years ago).I'm a bit lazy with sports, though I do go to the gym (2-3 times per week). I should start every day sports training just for being healthier and more lively. And of course because I study physical therapy, I want to look more convincing And because some customers or patients can be big and heavy, I don't want to be crushed under them if I can't hold them up... ![]()

What's the 'colors' (or levels) in judo? Is it the same as taekwondo?

@argoyle: I'd like to try, but I'm not sure if I have time to keep going up the ranks. Anyhow, I can't wait until my green belt arrives
(takes about 4 weeks of shipping)@ivana: It depends on the Judo place. Ours go: white green brown black Other dojos got other belt colors in between white and brown, but my sensei doesn't uses them.

Hmm...judo's colors are not really different from Shotokan Karate. Just a yellow belt is between the white and green and it goes like this (from lowest level to highest):
White Yellow Green Brown Black and in black, there're 8 levels up ahead. And in Karate, there're various style (?) like Shotokan, Japanese, blah blah blah. I'm brown belt level 1. Just two more levels to black...but since I'm loaded with school works, have not been playing for 6 months.

its a bit like baseball, only u have two bases(known as creases) which u have to run into after hitting a ball...the scoring is a bit different.....

The color ranks in Karate is a bit similar to Tae Kwon Do; which, from lowest to highest goes like this:
White Yellow (then Yellow with Green stripe) Green (then Green with Blue stripe) Blue (then Blue with Red stripe) Red (then Red with two black stripes) Black (and afterwards you get gold stripes to indicate even higher ranks. the highest possible is 8 stripes). During elementary school, I took Tae Kwon Do lessons, but quit after attaining red belt. In my first year of Polytechnic, I took a basic Jeet Kune Do classes (which, unfortunately, is only a temporary sport elective). Now I'm taking Capoeira and Archery, but who knows how long those will last.

Hmm...so Tae Kwon Do has blue+red instead of brown compared to Karate. Same here, I've stopped playing Karate -brown belt- since the end of last year.
Wow, archery? Reminds me of Kagome XD XD And...I just wanna know if Kung Fu and Wushu (is that even the right spelling?) are the same or not. I've tried the basics of Wushu and it's even harder than Karate, maybe that's because of our shi-fu. ![]()

I suppose that Kung Fu is more on hand-to-hand combat, while in Wushu, you'd be trained in weaponry as well. Not sure if that's even correct, but that's how the club members in my school explain the activity.
